They did it. In a bid to delegitimize the Enclave, they made it untouchable. Any critics will instantly be met with “LONG LIVE THE SNEEDCLAVE”, and its beautiful
When i was little playing this game, i didnt know english well, so whenever he said "This is John Henry Eden your President." i heard it as "This is John Henry eating your President" and i was like why the hell is he eating our president lol
Glad I'm not the only one! If any other nation in the world ever treathens the existance of United States, I will be ready to sacrifice my life for the greatest country in the world. America shall not fall!
Malcolm McDowell is such a great actor! Liam Neeson gets his praise for what he did in 3, but man did McDowell really nail the "FDR Fireside Chat" voice.
I have a love/hate relationship with the Enclave, I love their patriotism, yet I hate that they fire on sight. Why can't I join them, as a legitamite faction, without mods? (I play on PS3)
@@ECWPlays they would be good if they would kill everything non human and restore a normal world how it was, but instead unfortunately they kill everything that isn't part of them or isn't from a vault.
I come back to this every 4th of July, partially for the music and partially to hear the words of John Henry Eden, a voice of warmth and freedom in this cold, unreasonable world.
The Enclave may have been destroyed, but I ensured that their legacy would live on by installing the purifier as President Eden requested. Lives will be lost, but eventually the Capital Wasteland will be made clean again.
@@HolyknightVader999 I doubt the Enclave is completely destroyed. There were numerous different cells and secret bunkers and bases all over the U.S. many of which no one knows about, I find it doubtful that every single cell has eliminated.
@@insanegamer23899 That would be interesting to have them pop up. However, with the failure of Fallout 76, I highly doubt there would be any new media made in the Fallout Universe, particularly one that includes the Enclave.
@@HolyknightVader999 I wouldn't be so sure, while I agree that Fallout 76 had a terrible launch and is not in anyway what we've wanted, Bethesda has indicated that it has actually sold fairly well and made a decent amount of money. So while I see the franchise being on hiatus for a while, I disagree with the notion that it is dead. As for seeing the Enclave in future, I could see it happening as many who have played Fallout 76 (including myself) agree that the Enclave questline was the best in the game and the Enclave faction in 76 in particular adds in some lore without breaking lore. You can find communication logs between the Whitesprings Bunker's AI and the ZAX unit at Raven Rock which would become President JHE, and the logs indicate that he was beginning to gain self awareness and form a personality shortly before the War, I found it interesting.
@@FalonGrey considering there was a german nazi scientist who went "nein nein sauerkraut ja" and rebuilt an army of Frank Horrigans and wastelanders-turned-cyborg soldiers. Kinda yeah
@@FalonGrey but his uniqueness made him a great character. He was the best of the best, a patriot through and through who underwent enhancements to make him a better Secret Service agent. Having an army of him kinda....ruins the specialness.
President Eden- How did your leaders allow the most powerful nation on Earth to die?... The answer is quite simple incompetence. We put OUR trust OUR faith... in halfwits. Me- PREACH THE TRUTH SIR EDEN PREACH IT!!!!
I like how RU-vid finally decided to inform me of these comments right now. Now if they would have kept not informing me of it i wouldn't have lost brain cells reading that initial reply
This radio station helped to keep me sane when playing FO 3 years ago as the wasteland wore on me. Back when the game was new and everywhere you went things were trying to kill you. You'd wander around looking for any sign of civilization, but when you found buildings they were dens of raiders. Playing through the long dark of the night eventually I came across big town which was under assault by super mutants. It was only the voice of President Eden that gave comfort to my soul.
Everyone says new Vegas but honestly fallout 3 is the best, at least to me. Sure new Vegas has a few more choices in certain encounters but I like the main stories equally and everything else better in 3
I wish they had "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again" and especially "The Star-Spangled Banner" on this station. How could they forget their own national anthem?
@@mfw223 If you mean they needed to license the music, that's extremely unlikely. The Star-Spangled Banner is public domain, having been written in 1814.
@@mfw223 If it's public domain, then anyone can use it without paying royalties. Particular recordings of the song might be copyrighted, but you can always make your own recording of the song without facing any legal restrictions.
My favorite bits: 1:32 - “Baseball will live again!” 1:54 - “Well, hah ho heh, well…that takes time.” 4:13 - “Incompetence. Incompetence at the highest echelons of power!” 7:33 - “Of course I was elected, sweet America, of course.” 8:45 - 🎶🥁🪈 10:10 - “They don’t care about AMERICA!!!!” 11:36 - “They’re all around us, I KNOW. I know.” 13:28 - “Oh-ho-hooo, the adventures we had!” 14:09 - “Well we BOTH know the answer, DON’T we?” 17:35 - “And, well, yes, The Enclave is me as well. Ha ha, ho ha!” 18:15 - “One Enclave, one America. Now…and…forever!” 18:38 - 🎶🥁🪈
@@brotherhoodstarpaladin2789 You deaf mutie? Enclave troopers can take a missile to the head, while your knights of yore can't take a .45 to the leg! Ad losetoriam
Just to let all of you viewers know, I randomly downloaded the original audio file and when it got deleted I decided to keep the radio going, hence this upload. I hope you enjoy and stay a while. Original creator: moneill83
I don’t think Bethesda back in the day would have minded anyway. Microsoft though… That Minecraft was entirely rebuilt in C++ so the Windows 10 version has so much goddamn potential holy shit but yeah still no mods even in 2021 wow… That it’s no surprise to me. Now they own Bethesda…
Even if the enclave and it's leaders were evil, there were some people who were good in the organization who wanted a brighter tomorrow, I love them for both of these reasons.
This soothed me while i was dealing with leg pain due to falling asleep on the ground in my room thank you for helping me through this tough time mr president
Man, I love fallout. When you start the game, you hear all these things on the radio and it makes the world around you feel vibrant and real. It's not like other games where you are expected to drive the whole plot. You feel like a small fish in a large pond where many things happen outside your control (or perimeter). No game has ever given me this feeling other than fallout
I have no idea what you mean. In 2020 with the Covid-19 plague ravaging the country and with riots and protests in the streets, it only seems ironic now.
I'm British but I'm listening because for some reason my 13 year old dumbass back in the day thought the station was part of a quest and spent most my game time listening to it so now its nostalgic af
Even though I’ve heard about the Enclave on a bad way, this station and Eden’s personality truly made me choose the Enclave ending without a second thought. God bless America, God bless the Enclave
Got a Pip-Boy on my arm got a nuka Cola in my hand got a rifle on my back my feet are in the sand staring at the sun thinking about what's ahead I toss and turn at night dreaming about the dead I'm broken down and beaten but I trust our president John Henry Eden
Gotta love Malcolm McDowell's grand voice. I think President Eden was heavily inspired by Dwight D Eisenhour. I love Enclave radio, it's all lies but it's nice lies.
I am playing through this game once more after not having played it for many years and this time I am totally falling for the President’s schtick. 🤣 I did not fall for it when I played 13.5 years ago but I am now. Haha!
Ah i remember, FO3 was first fallout game i ever played and since leaving vault and discovering this radio station, i believed in it, trusted every word, and since i kinda ignored main quest, i realized very late that they would not be as nice faction as i expected them to be. I used to kill brotherhood patrols on sight since Eden said they are just like bandits. I couldn't wait to find Enclave base and join them. Later on i even believed that my character's father is an idiot for not cooperating with Autumn. Didn't trust anyone who said they are bad. The mirage faded only when i met Eden in person.
