The idea of the Reformer Enclave (Originated in an OWB mod, I think), it such a complex and interesting idea.. I really have zero idea how none of the fallout games have picked it up, having the Enclave be the good guys for once, fighting someone like the Brotherhood, giving you a moral dilemma, while yes the Enclave still have that, God Bless america, and no one else, they also actually help the people around them, and don't horde all their technology, while the Brotherhood can still look out for the greater good, but mostly shut out the wasteland, to better themselves, eventually furthering humanity. I can't say I am mad at Bethesda, just disappointed.

If the entirety of the enclave was solely dedicated to destroying all non-enclave why would that happen?

@@grandhierophantkhatep685 you are correct. The issue with the enclave is not them as a whole but their incompetent leadership. I had hope for Autumn to take over and reform it but alas Bethesda had another idea. Hopefully they will appear in future games as a playable faction. Imagine with the last couple defeats and loss of leadership the Enclave had to make hard choices and revaluate their actions. They would become more “Reformed” and utilize the wastelands people. Not saying they would accept supermutants or the like but they could reasonably accept the “non-pure” wastelanders

Because Bethesda doesn't understand complex ideas. They took a one time villain from Fallout 2 and made them the permanent bad guy, and only idiots like the ones who wrote Fallout: The Frontier don't understand anything can be deeper than face value, or that organizations are made up, of primarily, people. Who are also, complex in their ideals. The furthest we got with a potential reformed enclave was with the ingame schism between Colonel Autumn and President Eden, the first of those two wanting to use the water purifier to bring the wasteland under Enclave control and restore the united state, wastelanders and enclave together. Eden on the other hand as all well know, wanted to use the virus to purge everyone outside of the Enclave. At this point the best that people can hope for is an Enclave created by fans that take the reformer route. Because we sure as hell won't get it from Bethesda.

The ideology is real :), although authoritarian leaning right wing nationalism is heavily censored in the USA and Europe. So, in a sense, the Enclave exists as an ideology, just not an official organization. However, as time progresses and people become polarized due to the nature of our world, hey, you just may be able to vote for something that is similar!

Most Eastern European states (Czechia, Poland, Hungary, Belarus, Russia) are ruled by right-wing nationalists, some more some less authoritarian. Even in America, some right-wing (and far-right) groups hold a lot of influence and are often on a first name basis with the police (which kinda beats the point of the existence of a police force).

I just wanna say that you're John Henry Eden is really spot on. Malcolm McDowell was definitely trying to do an FDR/Eleanor Roosevelt Mid Atlantic/New England Brahmin accent, and you're totally nailing it. McDowell does it alright, but you're doing it really well. For anyone who wants to see what I'm talking about, just search "Eleanor Roosevelt speech" and you'll see what I mean. Hardly anyone speaks that way naturally anymore.

So am I the only one who played Fallout 4 assuming the Enclave won (as in my Fallout 3 playthrough) and the BoS were running away to Boston? My settlements were enclave bases with US flags everywhere (and the enclave songs playing on the recruitment beacons) and we eventually destroyed the BoS. I kinda thought that was the whole point of the game. We had to finish the job. For auld lang syne.

Probably one of my favorite mods. Interesting thing is that John Henry Eden even mentions the Minutemen in one sort of I guess "Fireside Chat". Not only that, but he mentions other organizations similar to it in other parts of the US, this worked very well for my Enclave playthrough, because I then sided with the Minutemen and wiped out both the BoS and Institute.

Uh I just finished a blueprint for an enclave fighter jet, which will start to be manufactured soon if you are curious. It'll be able to carry 30 plasma missles, or one nuke.
