Thanks for checking out the video. I've been having a lot of fun with this trailer build. Hope you enjoy the video. New ride video should be hitting the channel in the next few days, likely Sunday (if all goes according to plan, lol). Got a few new videos in the works and once the next two ride videos are up I'll start releasing all the content we filmed in West Virginia!! Can't wait to edit the WV stuff, loads of great shots in there! I hope you all had a great Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

The build is coming along great. I have limited space so I went with a 7x14. I didn’t think about the foot print. It’s still 8.5 wide from the wheels and fenders sticking out. I should have bought a 8.5 over the wheels . And height is an issue now since I installed a lift on my commander. I knew it was going to happen so I am using an aluminum utility trailer for now . I installed a raised teflon guide on the floor of my enclosed trailer. When my passenger wheels touch it I know I am tight to the wall . No chance of any damage . I also installed wheel chocks to the floor. Never have to guess if I am far enough in . Worked well for me.

I installed a fold down table. Basically a piece of 3/4" pine board about 3' long and 18" deep that had a piano hinge and chains to keep the front held up. Great for setting helmets and drinks on etc.

Put a rub rail (2x4) down the passenger side floor/wall intersection of the trailer. You can park against it without touching the wall and always know how much clearance you have to get out of your RZR.

Built a 8.5 x 24’ myself 2 years ago. WE LOVE IT! My wife and I both have RS1s so a standard toy hauler was not going to work. We have a shower toilet bathroom sink and kitchen sink. It’s set up just like an RV except our black and grey water are in the same 33gal tank. We are fully insulated roof and walls and use a mini-split for heat and A/C it works awesome! We ride early spring all summer and late fall and need both. We have a folding bed frame with a full size mattress. Mostly run off 110 shore power or generator. Your build looks good so far. Keep posting!!! It’s nice to be able to get out of bed cook some breakfast and hit the trail immediately.

Thanks man. First of all, we need to meet up and ride in 2023. In regards to long travel, I thought about what machines I'll be owning in the next year or two and don't see myself going over 64 inches because of where we ride a lot. Currently my RZR is around 66-67 inches wide with these wheels and tires. I'm hoping that in the next 2-3 years I'll be able to upgrade my tow rig and then my trailer. Just in case things change before then though... I'm keeping my open car hauler, lol!

I have anchor points in my 7x16 and can hang a hammock to sleep in or just throw an air mattress on the ground. I also agree with a previous comment about Windows. I love having 2 windows get a nice cross breeze and can check out noises outside while camping...important when camping where there are bears or crackheads lol

The windows idea is great and I have thought about it. I’ll likely put more thought into that this spring. I love the idea of anchors for hammocks man. Wicked suggestion. I’m gonna need to look into that.

Nice setup,one suggestion,a fuel door access! On my trailer I figured out where the gas cap would be most effective to the fuel pump and had the dealer cut in a nice little fuel access.

The trailer place offered fuel doors. I opted out of them. I mentioned it in a previous video. They are cool but I just use Jerry cans anyways so figured it wasn’t worth the extra costs.

I like to use folding cots in my inclosed trailer. They take up less space and easy to store. I like everything else that you have done to it so far. I’m a little behind you on the rest of the additions.

@AdrenalineJunkieProd
@AdrenalineJunkieProd Год назад
Thanks man. Ya, I did a lot research and it seems the most common issues are caused by running the heater on low for extended periods due to the carbon and soot buildup on the flow plug from diesel. Supposedly kerosene prevents a lot of those issues.

Okay, you asked. Here's my thoughts from a ACAH (arm chair ass hole) the tongue weight is stupid, your not a professional, lose the roll a way and just have a tool box. Towing with a half ton? You can but you're crazy! The biggest thing your missing(IMHO) a shitter and a shower! Now the good- love the heater, microwave, inverter and battery. The ceiling and lighting is great painted floor and siding super! I guess it all makes sense if you're hauling it behind a diesel pusher!🙃 alright, don't hate, love your channel and you!
@AdrenalineJunkieProd
@AdrenalineJunkieProd Год назад
Lmao. You know you won’t offend me, good feedback. Been towing with a half ton for 15 years without issues. The tongue weight isn’t stupid. The trailer feels great with the RZR in it. Like with any build I’ve had to make some compromises here. Regarding the shower and toilet, not interested in that. Most places we go for an extended stay will have the facilities we need. In the end, I’ll never be able to satisfy the keyboard warriors… so I’ve given up trying 😂😂😂 Stay tuned for the next episode where I do more things wrong! ☺️😉

I've been told that kerosene is not nessisarrily what you want to burn in your diesel heater. Yes it burns cleaner but it lacks the lubricating properties that diesel has. In time (possibly a short time) this will cause your fuel pump to fail. Not to mention there is less btu in kerosene compared to diesel.
@AdrenalineJunkieProd
@AdrenalineJunkieProd Год назад
I was under the impression kerosene put out more heat but I’m no expert. I don’t think lubrication should be an issue with this type of fuel pump but that’s a great tip. I’ll definitely be watching for all of this. In reality I’ll likely only use the heater a few times a year. It’s just there in case I really need it.
@rmanning5170
@rmanning5170 Год назад
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd kerosene has a BTU content of about 130,000 per gallon while diesel has an average of 140,000 per gallon. This is about a 7.5% difference in power. Kerosene also has a lower cetane rating than diesel. Diesel is normally less expensive than kerosene as well. Also don't buy into the used motor oil option in these either. Too much soot from the oil and its contamination will plug the burn chamber. Good luck with everything. 😉

How long is your machine? 10’ doesn’t seem like enough to fit another machine? I have a different heater that also run’s diesel or kerosene, the main difference I notice is first light is much better with kerosene. Mine doesn’t like lighting on diesel when it’s cold and lots of fumes/smoke until it heats up. I try to at least start it on kerosene

At 9:12 you see me getting out. It works fine for me. I knew how much space I had to work with before I purchased this unit. A few of the other guys I know use 7FT trailers and they have served them well. Like most other things in life, it's a trade off. Pros vs cons. In the earlier episodes I mentioned that I had to stick to 7FT wide based on budget and what my truck could handle. No doubt an 8.5FT wide trailer would have been way better but I just couldn't pull that off at this time. This is a massive upgrade for me as it is so I'm really happy so far.

Two words: JUMP DOOR! I just picked up a 7x14 w/ 5' v-nose from Beckner's and had them install a 5' wide jump/escape door to make getting into and out of the SxS sooooo much easier. Only a $499 option (or $599 retrofit). Super happy with my trailer!

Does anyone make an Enclosed trailer that has the L/R walls completely tip out and lock in a overhang position (as well as easily/quickly lock into the floor for rigidity and strength when transporting)? Always thought that would be a utilitarian feature, as well as supply enough room to get in and out of a SXS easier with a trailer width ~ width of the SXS! Does anyone make something similar to look at?

Running an HMF titan quiet series turbo back system. It does not require a tune I believe. You can get the slip on without the downpipe from the turbo if you don’t plan on tuning. It will save you a few dollars and make for an easier install.
