The first parts using the tailstock turret shows good results and easier use for the lighter machining operatios on this engine lathe with a heavy duty tailstock.
This device operates similar to a ram type turret lathe, but is attached to a tail stock instead of the lathe bed and uses the tailstock quill travel.

DeeDee So much fun. Thanks for sharing. I’m really happy to see you having a good time figuring out just how to make use of the turret tailstock. I have a friend who has a small one with a #2 MT and I’m going to try and get him to part with it so I can use it on my 10ee. Keep the lessons/experiments coming. Cheers on a rainy day. TB

I think a turret would work really good on the 10ee with its solid tailstock. Thank you for providing this large turret for experimenting with here for all to enjoy!

There is just no end to what a Millwright can do with good Machinist tools! . The Turret makes easy work for repetitive work. I sure wish you could get your hands on a forklift long enough to change the bearings on the Radial drill press. 10 years ago I destroyed my back putting new King Pins and Bushings on one of my Tow Trucks by myself. I'm the kind of guy that refuses to pay someone to do work that I can do myself. Well that was a life lesson for me. My back is so messed up now i cannot sleep in a bed. Instead, I have to sleep in a chair. I know you will get it done and if i lived there I would drive my truck over and use the boom to lift it for you. At no charge of course, just for the opportunity to hang out with another old Millwright like me.

Shot an unusual video today has tow trucks! I can get help on the drill Going to move slowly on it, videos coming up shows where it came from!

Should make yourself a left hand boring bar to save stopping and reversing, would selecting an empty spot on the turret give clearance for the toolpost in the parting operation? Nice to see one of these tailstock turrets actually being used though.
@deedeeindustrialsuperprecision
Yes, I only had a short right hand bar. I need to find the right order for the cutters and shorten the tool holders a little. too, thanks

It looked really rigid watching you use the turret. Can you find a crank mechanism to put on the tail stock? Have a great day.
@deedeeindustrialsuperprecision
The option included a longer gear rack to the end of the bed for the tailstock crank, I can get around it a little with this turret
