Thank you for the valuable feedback. I always try my best to get close shots of the shells to enhance the experience of virtual beachcombing. Appreciate your viewership!
The last time I watched your channel , regrettably it has been a while, I encouraged you to find a new song for your introduction. You have outdone yourself and the whole beginning of this video completely represents the name of your channel! I'll be back for more!
You are so blessed to have found so many Angel Wings, they are my favorite and I don’t have many but I have turned them into Christmas ornaments for those that have lost someone . Thank you for a beautiful walk .
I did this flashlight thing at low tides my whole life.. always best finds 👍🏆😁🌟 Great videos!! The music is wonderful, well done! I miss Florida so much !! 🥴Ty!
Cayo Costa is highly recommended! The best way to experience the island, in my opinion, is to stay the night there, but day visits are also just as beautiful!
Oh my goodness!! I would go happy crazy!! I just found you and your videos!! So awesome to watch! Seashelling is one of my favorite things to do!! I consider it therapeutic! I spend hours and hours when I get the chance!
Great day for you ! Thanks for sharing your walk with me. I haven't been able to go shelling lately. I love in Navarre Beach, FL. It's very beautiful here.
thank you so much for the shelling adventure,,,,, and beach walk........and beautiful sunrise............just a privilage to see the world thru documentries............some of us are unable to visit different places in the world...........so again thank you for your hard work for us and thank you for sharing with us................on to the next video...........
WOW, I'm definitely putting Cayo Costa on my Shelling Bucket List! Absolutely gorgeous morning and beach ⛱ Many Thanks for taking us along. Oh, and that camp site 👍 And of course Beautiful Shells. 😍
The moment the Dolphin swirled the water near the shore...I've never seen water that calm or beautiful. Thank you for sharing that moment with us. Completely lovely! You know you had my like at the first Angel Wing though, lol. Have a great week! Thank you for this moment of beauty!
Absolutely gorgeous morning hunt! Sooooooooooo many shells to explore and all those sea urchins 🤯. Always look forward to the adventures! Loved seeing all the stars and your ride in.
What a great day for a walk on the beach!! Your music is beautiful!! Glad you are finding a lot of shells!! Watching your video makes me so happy!! Thank you so much for sharing!!! May your day be full of joy and happiness!! God bless your kindness!!
Congrats on the scotch bonnet! I would have picked up some of the urchins. When I visited there several years ago, I brought many urchins home with me. (I transported the stinky things in large jugs with lids.)
What a beautiful morning with the pod of dolphins passing by. Our shells in the U.K. can be lovely too but yours just look so much better in the sun, sigh. 😔
Yes! I lived in the UK for a short time when I was in college - your home is very near and dear to my heart. I watch a couple of the RU-vid channels from UK like The Fish Locker - I just love the huge scallops you can find there. Thanks for watching!
I would love to go shelling. The most beautiful pieces were the ones I found in Florida in the mid-'60s. I wish I still had that collection. In California, there are little to no shells on the beaches. I rarely get out much anymore in California, but I haven't seen shells in years. I did find some sea glass on Kauai, Hawaii 10 years ago, but not really beautiful pieces. I wish I could go shelling again. Would bring me closer to nature again.
That is correct: California doesn't have many shells. The most common shells that I have found are Olive, clams, mussels & scallops, but you have to do serious hunting for any shells!
Hello! Honestly I haven't yet invested in a great pair of water shoes yet, but it is something I will most likely do soon - when I do, I'll circle back or maybe discuss in upcoming content! Thanks so much for watching and I hope you and your son have Happy Shelling!
that scotch bonnet is so rare!!! i have found 4 junonias and only 2 scotch bonnets. i haven’t shelled in the palm beach area where they are common but they are so rare in cato costa
Yes, they are much more common on FL east coast beaches for sure. I have only ever found two bonnets on FL west coast(both at Cayo Costa, ironically). Thanks for watching!
We went to a part of Cayo Costa this mornin* although I don’t think the same part you were.We didn’t see any of these amazing shells. My daughter was disappointed. We did see sand dollars and a starfish.
Hi friend! Sorry to hear you didn't find as many shells as you had hoped. Like most beaches in Florida, Cayo Costa can be hit or miss. I usually collect shells on the north end of the island where I camp and it's usually pretty good! Thanks for watching and happy shelling!
So awesome love watching your videos.I’m trying to find a campground near the ocean so I can pitch my tent. Can I ask you where your camp ground was that you were in.And did you have to take a tour guide to get to the beach.I have to go by myself no one has my love for shelling picking in my family.Thanks. Again for sharing.God Bless you
Hello! There is a campground on the island of Cayo Costa run by the Florida State Park system. It's mostly primitive camping but I think there are a few cabins as well. More info can be found here: www.floridastateparks.org/CayoCosta You wouldn't need a guided tour for the beach, as you can go out and explore on your own. There are no amenities on the island and it's considered "wild" Florida, so should always be mindful if hiking etc. Thanks for watching!
I know you want to collect just your certain kind, but I wish you would show some of all of them. The ones that had purple inside, ect. I Washington we don't have anything like any of these. Would love to see what more look like, please
We went to Cayo Costa I’m December and there was *nothing* there, it was awful. Who did you go out with? It was our first trip to SWF and we were so disappointed
Hello friend! My trip was not with a tour, actually. I have been going to Cayo Costa for years - I stay at the camping area of the state park on the north end of the island, which is serviced by Tropic Star Unfortunately, shelling can be hit or miss many times. Some of the best and most infamous places to shell can often be disappointing - it all depends on weather, tides, timing and luck. Hope you have better luck on future shelling trips, and thank you for watching!
Cool idea! I can maybe pull all of my bubbles together from over the years and see if I can put something together for future content sometime. Thanks for watching!
Hello! I have had luck on all areas on the 8 mile gulf facing beaches, but I would definitely say I have found most shells toward the northern end of the island around the state park camping area. Happy shelling and thanks for watching!
@@solaceinshelling6552 thank you so much. Planning my trip in October. Can’t wait, and because of your video on St Croix, I went to the same place and found a haul!
I get all of the music I use for this channel from a subscription to Musicbed.com. Which song would you like to know the name of? Thank you for watching!
@@solaceinshelling6552 the song near the end of your lady video it played for over five minutes I have heard before and love just don’t know the name of it love your channel
@@AdamJUlrey This song is called "Nocturne in Paris" by artist Tony Anderson. I often use his songs in my content because they evoke sentiency, in my opinion.
Unfortunately, I am not able to bring her along on some adventures. When I'm in Florida or traveling, I'll usually board her with family, or friends. With that said, I would love to take her to Cayo Costa sometime, but it can get pretty hot there camping and I'm not sure how she'd be able to cope. Thanks for watching!
Why wear a face mask when you are outside? A good spot for piles of shells is on Sanibel Island right near of where you are. You are throwing the shells back into the water but not throwing them far enough out because they are being pushed right back up onto the beach again.
