Ummm you can just edit that title to: My last PROJECT PROFIT episode… everyone seems to agree the clickbait aspect of it is so RU-vid 2010 and subscribers will watch.
Its to push in the algorithm, not for existing subscribers. The Try Guys have spoken how the algorithm buries videos that don't hit a certain criteria which means their videos lose money. We don't want that to happen to The Sorry Girls do we? Because this is a youtube problem over a creator problem.
@@amandakesterson224THIS! I think the Try Guys did a great job explaining that in order for RU-vid to even push your content that you have to not only have your consistent watch time, but you have a certain amount of new growth/eyes for the algorithm to push it.
Girls, i would watch 90% of your content no questions asked so i really do not appreciate being clickbaited like this. Heads up no more clickbait in the future yeah? Ok? Ok 👍🏼 Thanks ❤
@@jacforswear18 conscious consumerism. they very thing this channel promotes. remember the workshop floor episode when they watched old diys? when they said the reason they realized dollar store challenges are wasteful was because the audience told them? if creators are shielded from even the slightest bit of criticism, they will never grow or learn.
if you are watching regardless of clickbait why are you upset?? Literally the first sentence in the video is her saying it’s the final project profit … girl I know being “tricked” for the 5 seconds it took for the video to load is not affecting you this much
I like "Rachel's Rental" for the new series name. It is similar to "project profit", which gives it such a you vibe. Please don't do clickbait episode titles, though. I watch this channel to relax, not to go "WAIT WHAT oh no it's fine actually". Love the piece and I can't wait to see it in your apartment!
It would be fine if she was leaving too. It’s her job, and if she chose to leave it would impact us minimally and should not be a reason to panic in any way.
@@jacforswear18her leaving is 100% up to her but them having the title act like she’s leaving but it actually being just the end of her series is clickbait / bait and switch and no one likes that
Wow wow wow! I was upset about the clickbait but sheesh this is soooooo dangerous to show. Ugh I think I might be over this channel. The lack of safety concerns is starting to get to me. Cmon, TSG, Google is free.
@@michellemorales I mean if you don’t know you don’t know - I only know this because I’ve recently taken up pottery and have learned about it in detail. Education and growth, and a commitment to improvement is all I ask
Plus totally unnecessary. They make corner edging that gets attached to the corner before tile is placed so there is an equal grout line on either side of the corner. It comes in all colors, textures, and styles like a rounded corner.
Yet another safety concern that they overlooked. It's becoming too common for such a large fanbase to be exposed to unsafe measures. I am saying this as someone who has watched for a long time.
Then you don’t actually love the content. An inoffensive title wouldn’t stop you from watching something you actually loved. You just want to complain about something that effected you for about 1 seconds
@@jacforswear18 i’m sorry, but this is just backwards, and kinda childish. you don’t owe a positive opinion to anyone, much less a for-profit company whose primary product is these very videos. you might think it’s inoffensive, but just because you don’t care or don’t understand the effect doesn’t mean nobody else does. it is not up to you to decide what marketing moves bother others. criticism is a vital part of consuming any media, and it doesn’t mean you don’t like it, it means the exact opposite. nobody has to uncritically like anything a company puts out, that would be a cult, not a youtube channel.
@@jacforswear18 Rude of you to assume how someone else feels or doesn't feel. That's how YOU feel. I too, like the commenter you're replying to feel tricked through the title.
If you NEED to sand down ceramic do NOT DO IT DRY. Silica dust will f*ck your lungs up. For similar reasons, mop up the dust, dont sweep!!! Y'all are probably okay because its just this one time but safety is important!
Echoing the other comments here. The clickbait was honestly beneath you all, especially with the posts yesterday too and with Rachael saying she was only with you guys part time. Definitely tricked a lot of people in a not nice way. Super unnecessary.
Right? They have built a loyal fanbase who are eager to watch every Tuesday and now Saturdays too! This is a newbie RU-vid tactic, not for a channel with over 2 million subs. They could also change the title and thumbnail at any time! But of course, all the comments are helping with engagement either way.
Why. Do. You. Care. ???? It’s not an offensive joke. This woman is working at a job she is not any viewer’s friend. If she was leaving, even if you like her work, it should not be EMOTIONAL. The comments are absolutely wild. The parasocial relationships and subsequent entitlement from this viewer base is unbelievable. I would have thought the people watching these videos were adults but they seem like poorly regulated middle schoolers.
@@jacforswear18 People are providing valid criticism of the tactic they used to market this video. It's important to leave feedback as a subscriber if the channel is doing something we don't like, so that it doesn't become the norm and lead to a loss in viewership. That's it. (Also, it's totally fine to get emotional over something you like potentially changing. If people were just like "eh, whatever" about Rachel possibly leaving, I'm sure none of Team TSG would feel very good about that. They treat their viewers like a community of people and not just eyeballs and clicks, and being sad about someone leaving that community is not weird and entitled.)
Yet another entry into my favorite RU-vid series. Rachel’s work has been inspiring, meditative, and generous. ❤ My favorite parts have been repairing broken parts of old furniture and seeing how much they eventually sell for! This whole series has been a delight. Thanks Rach!
Well then you clearly didn’t love it that much. Imagine denying yourself something you actually “love” because of something as arbitrary as a video title that wasn’t even offensive or problematic. 😂And you already engaged with it so… I guess it doesn’t matter
@@jacforswear18 I did. I’m a viewer that regularly watched and rewatched every video no matter what the video was about. The clickbait post on instagram I was willing to move past but then the video did the same shit.
CMON PEOPLE.. don’t let the “clickbait” take away from this amazing video, their hard work and how sweet the surprise was! TSG sometimes have sarcastic humour and they just had a little bit of fun… the hypersensitivity needs to stop. Excited for the new series! ❤❤❤
If you read the comments, you would know that ppl do NOT like clickbaiting, and that's what the original title and thumbnail were, NOT some sarcastic humour. Get real.
I think people are overreacting about the misleading title. 5 seconds into the video, Rach says it's the final Project Profit which immeditaly answers everyone's questions. I loved the DIY! Great job Rachael.
Legit!! It’s such an overreaction for something not worth blinking an eye at!! Every one mad about it is just confusing as hell, bc it’s not that deep.
really thought this channel was better than clickbaiting their audience. even as a long time fan of the channel and series it makes me not want to watch this video
I have really enjoyed project profit and I will miss it. I love that Kelsey and Becky bought you the console table and you reached your final goal for charity. The Sorry Girls Rock!!
There are other ways to ask your community to partner for higher channel and video engagement than clickbaiting us. Other creators have had quick candid conversations of ‘hey, if you get a notification if you can just comment with an emoji that is huge for our reach and making sure we don’t get defeated by the algorithim!’ Treating us like partners and collaborators rather than data points to be duped (because that clickbait ONLY works on your dedicated audience) does wonders for expressing that you value your committed following.
It would be great to have a production member look into some Occupational Health and Safety training/planning for your channel - for your audience but also because you are a business.
Rach's Rad Pad! And these columns to make the table turned out SO WELL. You did a great job with those 45's and the grout really looks wonderful with that pale pink tile. I love that you could make them a pair of plant stands, or lamps stands, or whatever if you want as well!
@@bripatrick It's not snotty to say we dont like the clickbait title. It heavily implied Rachel was leaving the team and NOT just the last project in a series, It's not snotty if 99% of the comments are all saying the same thing dude.
Tired of the dam click bait. I understand that its really difficult to fight against the alogthirim and whats popular but your integrity is more important and sk is your audiences trust.
I knew that there was an explanation behind this title. A lot of You Tubers are using this tactic. Not really fun when you're a fan. Glad that there will be more projects with Rachel.
Despite the clickbait tile, I did watch and I was impressed with the final result. I am looking forward to Rachel's Apartment Renovations. Please don't leave TSG, Rachel!!! THat title probably could have said something like - My Last Profit episode... That makes things much more clear.
I’m sure there’s lots of engagement on this video because people are upset at the clickbait which is unfortunate. Clickbait is dishonest and I don’t think this channel is dishonest nor would it want to be seen by its long time or new subscribers as dishonest. If it was a mistake or bad judgement, make it right.
If I just said “make it right” I would see your point. I provided plenty of context prior to that very last statement to speak to the point I was making.
smad^ inducing clickbait is the wooorst , I'd've clicked either way so now I'm frustrated instead of vibey + chill , but here I am giving you what you want over it aka interaction LuL ..... anyhoos love the piece + series but y'all's personal spaces are always a fun time too + rach's style is new/different on the channel so should be cool to ride along , yay ^sad+mad=smad
Despite the annoying clickbait, I did still enjoy this episode. Sad to see this series going away. It was cool to see you DIY on a budget and to see the profits go to a good cause. Hopefully when you have more bandwidth you can pick it up again in the future.
I would have rather known this was a Project Profit video than being tricked to think Racheal was leaving the team. Love this series...had no clue what this video was until after clicking though.
Hi Sorry Girls, honestly I love the whole series and I am really excited to the Rachel’s new series decorating her new apartment , BTW congratulations to Rachel for that. As someone who started a small business, I can understand the clickbait even if it wasn’t intended, even if it was it’s totally okay, some decisions are made for t he business and I’m sure it was never intended to hurt you audience. So please don’t feel bad about, if we are your loyal audience we are also loyal to your business decision for algorithm, keep creating and inspiring us. You guys are me idols :) keep rocking!
I personally loved the fun surprise from the previous title and thumbnail. I was so worried that Rachel was going to leave, but enjoyed the twist! Hope to see more silly jokes like this in the future.
Anyone wondering what the comments are going on about- they first titled it “my last project” (insinuating Rachel was leaving). But then they changed to this one. Dont know if its just be but I have noticed sometimes they post a video title, then a few hours later change it. Eg when I look at the notification and note to myself to watch, then I go back after work looking for it- only for it to look different (can’t remember which other one they did it for - but it wasn’t as click baity as this)
Awww, this was so sweet! Way to go, Kelsey and Becky! And, Rachael, you made a beautiful console. Maybe the new series could be "Rachael's Reno" -- as in renovation? I'll be there no matter what you call it.
Okayyy guysss they changed the title and every other comment is about it...let's talk about the video instead 😍😍😍 I personally will miss this series but it was so great for you to get creative and do something for a positive cause 🎉
Rachel has added a wonderful and caring warmth with the project and gifting the funds to charity is amazing. I think Rachel’s rental program will tap into a lot people’s needs. Rachel’s work has always been neat and beautifully executed. Her style is so different and accessible. So sweet that the table was given to her. That’s very nice.
I sure hope we get an apology for such an asinine and unnecessarily clickbaity video title. It's ridiculous to think we wouldn't have watched it without such a title. I'm really disappointed; I thought your team was above that BS. 😔
@@MrIljuha2000 I'm sorry, but I'll have to politely disagree. If such a title is for new watchers, they'd have no idea who Rachel is and therefore wouldn't be enticed to watch. I would hope the Sorry Girls team would think their viewers are smarter than that. 😕
Loved how this came out and how sweet that Rachel can own this awesome DIY! I can't wait to see what charity the money goes to. Super excited for the new series, as a renter I appreciate the ideas and to see your journey of decorating and I love the running title. In regards to the clickbait, I kinda think people need to chill out.. titles like that absolutely still exist on the internet. Sometimes it can help get new people to watch something. If you are legit offended by the use of it, please take a deep breath and don't let little things bother you so much.
Those complaining about clickbait need to understand that RU-vid demands it for videos to be promoted. The Sorry Girls rely on RU-vid income. Don't be mad at them for doing what it takes to make the money they need so they can continue giving us the content we love.
Okay the outrage over the clickbait is a bit much but I will say that I get really sad whenever one of my favorite youtuber creators leaves the platform so I didn't even click on the video when the clickbait title was on because it made me sad just from that but with the changed title/thumbnail I didn't even know it was the same video and i clicked on it immediately thinking it was an older video I missed.
Everybody is commenting about clickbait but no one is asking about tiling on top of wood- when the wood expands and contracts won’t it crack your tile or split the grout? Or is there something about this particular application that makes it safe to do so? Genuinely asking because I thought that was a rule of tiling but maybe not in every case.
Those tables are stunning! The pale pink is such a dramatic shift from your usual colour and style choices that it will obviously bend the entire decor of your new apt in un-thought of ways. Pink! Who would have ever thought it????
Really hope you will switch out title and thumbnail after all the feedback. It almost comes across as spit on communities face: only dedicated viewers care if Rachel is leaving, so this click bait was for those people who are already watching your videos. And new viewers just wouldn't care. The fact you also posed for a thumbnail smh makes it worse
That consol table is beautiful and my favourite from all the projects. Now I have to find room in my space for one. Well done and happy that it was purchased for you and your new space. Congrats on a good run with Project Profit and looking forward to seeing what you do next.
Y'all are so sweet and supportive to each other! Will definitely miss this series but excited for Rachel's Rental! Wishing y'all many new subscribers & viewers! ❤ Once I'm subscribed I don't even read titles hunny, y'all got me watching for life lol.
Just here to call out how FANTASTIC this table is! I can’t wait to see it in your space! Loved this series so much but looking forward to a new season of Loft Vibes. Wink.
Yup, this will be my next project once I can find some subway tile on FB marketplace. I started the thread lamp shade a while back and just finished it! It's not as good as Rachel's, but I'm still pleased with myself. Hopefully I feel the same way about this next project. Super excited to tile something!
Has it been a year of Project Profit already? Wow, that flew by! You gave us so many great projects, thanks Rachel. For the new serie, I vote "Rachel's Rental", it's catchy. Also, Becky's shirt at the end is beautiful.
End of an era? Hugging Rachel in the thumbnail? Some real cheap clickbait. The first Project Profit was less than a year ago and there are only 6 episodes. Hardly an "era,: even in content years.
SO SAD ITS OVER!!! But very excited to see a Rachel renovation series! Her personal style is closest to my own, so I can't wait to see what she surprises us with!!
SOO excited for the new series Rach!! Project Profit has been such a fun and inspiring ride and I’m honored to be able to witness you take on something new!! TY for taking us along for the journey in this next phase of your life ☺️
The Clickbait Girls? That doesn’t sound right, does it. Please stop with the clickbait nonsense, we are all here, we are all subscribed to watch all of your content, you don’t need to do that, girls. ❤
Ahh, that is so sweet 👩🍳🤌 what a lovely gift all round. Beautiful work Rachel ❤ Also, end of an era is exactly what concluding project profit is - I did not see this as click bait at all. 100% looking forward to seeing what you do in your new space.
This was AWESOME❣️❣️❣️ As ALWAYS Rach, your craft is stunning. I am also really LOVING what the crew did for you (and the charity project)💞 The Sorry Girls team bring so much joy🥰
This whole series has been very enjoyable and has brought so much freshness into the TSG content, but also excited for the end of the "season" and for the new apartment content series!x P.S. Also, don't get discouraged from the reactions about the clickbait, I think it gives the whole team an opportunity to realise that the audience is always loyal and as a community we'll prefer honesty. keep it up, girls! :)
It’s pretty irresponsible as a diy channel to show unsafe sanding like this. You do this for a living. Sanding tiles without a mask means you’re breathing in silica particles which is very unhealthy for your lungs. Can lead to disease and literal death people.
What a nice way to end project profit 😭❤️ Really enjoyed the series and sad that it ended but super excited for Rachael’s loft series!!! 😍 Loft Vibes Rachael Edition!
Got inspired by this! I made one of my own as a side table! All out of materials I already had and a glass top that was going to be throw away at work! Hoping to sell for a profit on market place to raise a little money towards a holiday!!
