Wow, what a doctor. Well spoken, articulate, speaks like a psychiatrist.

Completely agree with the doctor, the kindest thing to do would be to let her stay in the care home which is familiar to her. Dementia patients don't do well in a hospital environment.

In the US people don’t like to talk about it. It’s a shame.

When my mother in law had her bout of pneumonia a year before she died. This discussion did not happen. They barely had time to treat her let alone talk to the family. She was with this hospital.

Sounds like a barrier to hospital to me.

I am sure that this doctor has had this discussion with multiple other patients since the mask mandate stopped. How about making another video without the mask?

It’s going to happen. At least once in your life.

Not if.... probably when! And expect to bungle it then as it's often irrational and emotion filled. I know!

Can they not administer her antibiotics/oxygen in the care home? That would alleviate her pain and make her comfortable.

Take off your mask, please. Can't hear you well and can't see your facial expression. This is a teaching video.

Maybe there's a case for a new video, but this was clearly done during the pandemic. So of course all three paricipants were wearing masks. But I could hear the conversation clearly and it's about what was said, much more than any facial expression.

You can turn on captions if you can’t hear well. I can hear him fine, but I understand some people prefer to read lips. You can read captions on all RU-vid videos, including this one.
