ChuckyBear reacts to and reviews the Sleep Token track 'Euclid' from the new album 'Take Me Back To Eden' Official video: • Euclid Leave any suggestions or feedback in the comments, it's all appreciated! :)
Vessel obviously hasn’t ever done an interview or been able to really reach out to the fans. I’d like to think that the day of the album dropping, the line “this night belongs to you” was him speaking to the fans who’ve been here from the start. Whether it’s true or not, it felt like a celebration.
There was one interview done back in 2017. It was actually May 19th, 2017, so this album is 6 years to the day, further-cementing the full-circle nature of the album. Idk RU-vid's link policy but if you just Google "Sleep Token interview" the first result should be Louder Sound, who conducted the interview
This song was probably the best first listen experience to a song I’ve ever had. I loved the whole thing, probably more than the entire rest of the album (and I’d loved every song), and then the ending came in and destroyed me
Dude I felt the same way, such a journey and anticipation for this album. I was not expecting the ending, seriously the best first listening experience. I loved how it circled back to the beginning.
Like you said, it's triumphant. The themes I noticed in each album (Sundowning, Tomb, Eden) are love, loss, and self-acceptance in moving forward. I connect with each and every song across their entire discography, and this one broke me.
I think it's safe to assume they chose the name intentionally, given how many geometric shapes are represented in the album artwork and the fact that he references Symmetry and parallel in the lyrics of this song. One of Euclid's axioms is "things which are equal to the same thing are equal to each other"
Being a new ST fan, had no idea about the loop round to the first song on furst album. Better late than never, i guess, but wish id had that experience that those who onow the first album. The only two other albums that come together like TMBTE, for me, are Tool Lateralus and NIN The Downward Spiral.
i can't stop listening to The Apparition. I just keep going back to it. I love all the new songs equally but idk that one just tickles my ear just right! lol
Man! I will see sleep token in a few days and i´m so hyped ;A; This band has given me so much! Plus i stumbled over this awesome Band via the Sleep Token fandom! Please check out Plagues - Resurgence if you liked the heavier Sleep Token Music!
I just think they will use it as an opportunity to freshen things up as much as they deem necessary to move forward. I’m sure the comparisons to Ghost are old but I’m gonna compare them to Ghost: it’ll be just like Ghost.
Thats called expert songwriting brother. All albums need soft spots. Not every song can be a banger. Those songs serve a purpose. Gives the listener a second to chill before theyre slapped again with a heavy tune. Its all done by design.
what if ascensionism was vessel getting god status like sleep... amd tmbte is showing the desire to to do just that.. and this song is vessel actually breaking through and getting into eden and rewriting the song "the night belongs to you" ascensionism is apparently the name of a religion... "Ascensionists believe there are two spirits that make up a being, that being the physical spirit (the body) and ethereal spirit (the soul). Souls get reincarnated multiple times until they reach a point self judgement, if they decide they have been good, they will destroy themselves and become "primordial soulstuffs" from which new souls are to be formed. Ascensionists also believe that everything bad that happens to you is deserved, as you have asked for it in a previous life, this interpretation makes ascensionists able to justify any harm done to any other individual as they are believed to deserve it." if you read that exerpt it explains A LOT about the trilogy of albums.
Interesting take. the reincarnation idea really makes sense with how like you said rewriting the night belongs to you and the music video for the love you want. both are very cyclic. Thanks for the perspective!
getting super annoyed with the "omg is it the end" I realize everyone thinks they're a super smarty pants and has it all figured out, but there is literally no reason to believe they're "done" yeesh...
Maybe a bit over the top I admit haha, but they stated it's the end of the trilogy (Sundowning, TPWBYT and TMBTE), so definitely expecting something different from Sleep Token in the future! Thanks for watching!
