Congrats on reaching the end of the semester brother. Winter and summer camp times were my most frustrating and my most rewarding periods during my public school years in Korea. We did special activity/themed classes for them and the budgeting and planning were so aggravating. But seeing the kids enjoy themselves, especially when I taught them how to make snacks and food along with arts and crafts were seriously some of the best times I had during the year. You didn't have the pressure of regular teaching and you could really have fun with the kids. Deskwarming does indeed suck. It is nice getting paid to do nothing, but sitting almost alone in the school all day gets real old real fast. I have to say I'm thankful for our climate here in southern Taiwan because it's insanely warm and sunny right now next door over here in Tainan. It's like summer in January during the day here. Meanwhile my friend up in New Taipei is still battling coughs and the colder weather up there doesn't help. Enjoy the free time Ryan and thank you for the new video.

Thanks man and thank you for sharing your Winter Camp experience in Korea, it sounds like you worked at some good schools up there. I hear you on the benefits of living in the southern part of the island. Last year I was in Taoyuan and was constantly battling cold weather and rain. Keep me abreast of your situation and wish you many happy weeks ahead.

Hi Ryan, we've met probably 3 years ago when you bought my rower and you picked it up from our place and drove you to your apartment in Taoyuan. I hope you're doing well, it's great watching your videos in youtube.

Yes, that was in Fall of 2022 after I just arrived to Taoyuan. I had to tie the rower cable in a few knots to shorten it but got some good workouts with it. Thanks again for the ride home as well. Hope you and your family are doing great.

I hope you have a blast at the winter camp. That’s nice they’re letting you go home after and that you’ll be on vacation soon. That’s great that your mom is visiting you and her granddaughters afterwards. I wasn’t sure if it’d be safe to visit Taiwan around their elections. My bf and I thought about visiting Japan for a few days after we visit you in Taiwan, but we’ll see. It might be too overwhelming. Are you allowed to visit Japan on vacation? Good luck with the tournament, bro 😀🍀 I’m surprised your over the weight limit.

I would love to visit Japan but I'm 99.9% sure that I'll be rejected at immigration for you know what. But my mom visiting is the next best thing and hopefully Yukiko and the girls will be able to start taking flights here or to America in the near future. Yeah, the election was definitely a time of some tension but even though the Green Party won, no missiles or invasions yet (fingers crossed!). If you and your bf can work in Japan though, you really should go there one day. It's more expensive than Taiwan but really worth a visit and sure you'll both love it. About the tournament, I'll let you know if I manage to make weight...currently starving myself and still uncertain if it'll happen lol. Thanks as always sis :)

@@ryfree That’s too bad since it wasn’t a serious offense in my opinion. Also, a good amount of time has passed. Yeah, that’s a great solution that you guys came up with for the meantime. That’d be wonderful to reunite with them in America hopefully very soon 🤞 Dang, it’s scary that things were a bit tense. I hope you and some of your new Taiwanese friends are happy that the Green Party won. Hopefully, things will be alright. Oh yeah, I’m sure it’d be a fun trip. I also want to visit South Korea. Have you been there or thought of visiting ever? We’re still so excited to visit you in Taiwan during the month that we discussed. Thanks, yeah I’m curious. Oh gosh, hopefully the starvation pays off lol. I hope traveling on your scooter and camping bring you a ton of fun 🤩 Of course 🫶

@@Diana_Free Yes, my friends and I are really happy that the Green Party won and I've only had one awkward conversation so far with a Blue supporter lol. Yes, it's a shame about Japan but oh well. I'm stoked that you both are excited about coming out to Taiwan. You guys will love it. Never been to Korea but will get around to it one of these days. Question: has your bf ever driven a motorcycle and does he have an international driving license? If he does, he'll be able to rent a scooter while you're here which will make exploring places super neat. If not, no worries as we can still use public transportation for many places.

@@ryfree Nice, I’m glad you guys were happy and relieved about the outcome. Lol, that would be uncomfortable 😣 Yeah, that’s not fair. I’m glad you got to live there for awhile at least. Sweet, we’re very much looking forward to it. I know we will! Oh yeah, I’m sure you’ll get an opportunity. Your nearby so that helps :) He’s never driven one and unfortunately he doesn’t have an international driver’s license. That’d been cool, though. It’d be fun to explore certain places with it for sure.

Glad to hear it! I haven't worked at an international school but I have some friends that do and was thinking it would be interesting to interview one of them about it. I'll keep posting, thanks for the encouragement!
