I don't understand what your huge backpack is for if you're going back to the truck every night. Is it's for being able to stay out on a kill, or a stock?

@timarb5177 So, I will frequently backpack hunt staying up to a week or more in the backcountry. This is really a do it all backpack for me. Lightweight and collapses down if I need it to for day hunting.

I have the same hunt but next door to the east. My spring archery bear tag is there tho. Excited about that! Not many guys puttin bear content out there for us newbies. Thanks for that! If your # is the same, I can share some intel with ya. Good luck to ya.

Wow man, setting the bar for solo filming and editing! Awesome cut ins and outs. I appreciate the consideration of not focusing too much on the dead animal and much more so on the experience, and avoiding the cliche grip and grin, but still would have loved to see more of the actual bear up close! Overall awesome film though.

Cool video! I’m new to hunting and was curious, when do you apply for bear tags and how difficult was it to get yours? How long did it take until you got drawn? I live here in surprise and just starting out, so it’s all new to me any info would be awesome! Thanks keep up the good videos!

Thanks! Bear tags can be purchased right over the counter here. No draw. So, I didn't wait long, haha.

Just the damage done from the bullet. Shoulder was MANGLED! Meat was cold when we got there in the morning.

Just now saw this video...next level! Just Subbed! I am an experienced big game hunter but not for bear...literally only been out a few times! I just glassed up a bear yesterday in Az 6A that looks like the one you got in this video and now I'm chomping at the bit to go get him! Thanks for being not only a hunter but a conscientious hunter! Unfortunately we've all ran into "hunters" like the one you witnessed and I salute you for doing the right thing! Happy hunting!

Glad to hear the meat was not spoiled. Have left one deer in my many hunts not gutted overnight. I got separated from my pack trailing a wounded buck. Got caught in a hailstorm at dark thirty. Buck was fine, I left it buried in pea size hail.

Great production. One of the top videos I've seen in the last year. Great shot. A little concerned about leaving an animal over night. It may not have not been feasible to pack out. Too rough of country. I understand. Keep it up

Thanks Mike! Really appreciate that. It was pretty gnarly and impassable from where we were. I would never leave it in the early season, but October I've done it several times and not lost the meat. Was cool to the touch when we arrived. Had a burger from him the other night. 😎 Thanks again!
