What if I have a chance to purchase a new first edition of Endavor for 20$(Canadian) should I get it or should I pay like 75$(Canadian) for the Age of Sail edition ? Which one should I get ?
tough one, that's a great price, and the original game is still great. plus some of the tweaks from the new edition can i assume be retroapplied to the original (like started with an active building to speed things up). otoh, you'll not be able to use the expansion content if you find you really like the game and want more. it comes down to how much do you think oyu're going to love the game? if it really speaks to you, you'll probably regret not getting age of sail, since there's SOOO much more there. but if you think it's just a game you'll like and want to occasionally paly but not get obsessed with, it probably makes sense to go the cheaper option :)
