Thanks for this, helped me figure out that I managed to get some filament stuck in the white tube, which ended up being super easy to clear!

Thanks a lot for your video. Following step by step , I could manage a problem of filament clogging and blocking. Thanks to you, I was able to locate the problem and remove a filament plug at the start of the extruder. you have been a great help to me. Congralutions.

Im actually shocked people have not learned these days that you don't use WD-40 as lubricant, atleast not the 'regular' multi-purpose one. You will be regretting it in the long run, so for anyone who actually used the regular WD-40 instead of the one of the specialized versions that are specifically made for lubing parts. (e.g. Dry Lube or White Lithium Grease), use some isopropyl-alcohol to wipe the multi-use wd-40 off and then get some real lube up in there. Also to be fair, it would have been better if you atleast guided the people through this or smth, for me sitting through this vid was the the long version of googling my problem and having the only result being one sentence; "Take it apart lol"

WD-40 lubrication is the most common solution that has proven itself for cleaning. Cleaning and lubrication done in this way has yielded successful results in the long term. It has been tested by me.

I have a problem with my ender 3 v3 se with Nebula kit, it works super well without any problem, but it started to prime badly, everything points to a leveling problem, I have tried to level it in many ways and adjust the z offset, but nothing works, I think it is the bed that is twisted but I can not find the spare part. Can you help me.

The tip of the BL touch may also be bent or the cable may be disconnected. Make sure this part is intact.

1. Just increase that hotend temperature beyond manufacturers recommendation for steady flow of filament i.e from 210° to 230°+, 2. change that white tube to the much better blue Capricorn ptfe tube. Learned the hard way using from my still using today old tough CR10...

Thanks for this. Do the gears need to be perfectly clean? Like there's some oily black substance on it which isn't easy to remove, I'm guessing that's for lubrication and shouldn't be removed, right? There were also tons of small (what I think is PLA) particles ground up in there
@BigBoxOrange
@BigBoxOrange 3 месяца назад
Black small particles, residue from black "pla". When the extruder is stressed, the gears tear particles from the filament. After a long time, these particles make it difficult for the gears to grip. As a result, it results in bad press. The material I use also ensures the lubrication of the gears.

А как определить, что его необходимо чистить? Как проявляется, в каком дефекте печати?
@BigBoxOrange
@BigBoxOrange Месяц назад
При потере твердости печати (хрупкости и межслоевого зазора) и увеличении углублений и выступов между слоями

The printer underextrudes mid print constantly now. I changed nozzle, unclogged everything, cleaned gears, tightened the extruder spring inside. Changed the inside bowder to a PTFE one. I have done everything. I have used the Creality slicer. I added more walls. Failure I used Cura 5.7 with Ender 3 V3 SE support. It somewhat fixed it but not totally. Printer will print flawlessly for a few hours then straight up starts underextruding near the Z seams. I ordered an extruder replacement and will try installing it once it arrives in case the gears inside have been worn out. If that doesnt solve it, this printer is basically a failure after some hundreds hours of printing.

I have the same exact prob. Did you get a fix?
@BigBoxOrange
@BigBoxOrange 2 месяца назад
I guess, have you completely cleaned the residues left on the Extruder gears? Half an hour after the printer operates, the heat begins to spread upwards. If the gears are full, the filament heats up as the gears get hot. As filament hardness decreases, filament thrust decreases.

Cheers, great help for the KE also, cleared a blockage in the tube the filament goes through(the one before the white bowden tube). Thanks again for the great help.

Did you leave the WD40 on the gears? And what to do if the gears do not align with each other as mine was offset by half a gear to not align with the filament properly. I notice my extrude and retract make a sound like it is rubbing. Thanks
@BigBoxOrange
@BigBoxOrange 2 месяца назад
If the gears are not aligned, there is a breakage or crack in the part. I recommend that you replace the extruder mechanism as soon as possible.

thanks for posting this video. I haven't taken the extruder apart yet for one of these, but had done basically the same thing on a sprite extruder pro extruder. This was very well documented for each step, one of my Ender 3 V3 SE printers has the extruder clicking on it, and it's underextruding so I am going to try this out tomorrow evening to get it back up and running.

If your Teflon pipe is damaged, you should replace it. As the filament heats up, it may snarl in damaged areas. Do not throw away your old pipe, cut it precisely to the same size as your new pipe. If it is short or long, you may not get quality prints.

do you have to use wd40 or can you use a different type of lubricant

Wd40 isn’t a lubricant, it’s a water displacement solution. Maybe some silicone lubricant would work better
