Hello you 2 awesome to see this park again is there like 30 years ago miss Florida a lot and yes 40s and 50s there is cold I’m in Maryland and it’s been in the teens thank you for this video The hurricane did so much damage when I was there it was so thick plentiful the wondrous world of mother nature🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻
My dad loved this park so much. He took alot of photography of all of the wildlife out there. We put a memorial plaque out there for him. Thanks for sharing.

Tampa Jay I just started watching you. I have seen you on some of Adam's videos. I subscribed to you. I enjoy watching several of yall that vlog. For me it all started with Adam. I have been watching him for years. Now I watch you and Cris, and MIcah, Sean, Chris Provost and Tim Tracker. Actually I have been watching Tim Tracker and Adam the longest. You and Cris are such a delight to watch together. I love how she repeats some things you say. I can really see the love you two have for each other. That is awesome. My wife and I have been married for 33 years. When you find that special one, it just works. You and Cris have that. Glad to be onboard with Tampa Jay and Cris.

I think there is a Bigfoot story of every big forest. I visited Myakka just a few days ago on my bike tour, beautiful state park. I wanted to visit this park for a long time finally made it happen 👍
This was a pleasant tour of the wildlife & wilderness. However, my imagination & fear of gators freaks me out. When you were turkey talking, my new dog ran over nudging my phone, so perhaps you were really speaking in canine, or she's a bird chihuahua/min-pin🐕 lol. Thx 4 taking us all along on your adventure! Happy New Year 🎉
We have been there a few times. The damage from Ian is extensive. Looked like 50% of the canopy was blown down. The best place to view the gators is to the west of the north parking lot by the restaurant and boat launch (used to be air boats that were so loud). Follow the path about 1/4 mile to an overlook of a river or inlet 20 to 30 big gators sun there regularly.
Great video Jay. I’m not laughing at your temps. Just before Christmas up here in the PNW, our hi was 26, low of 16! Unheard of in this area, 1 hr from Seattle! Oh, did I mention the ice storm also!
Dude, your videos are awesome!! Keep on bringing the positive energy and showing us some really interesting things around the country! Come back to Texas some time!!
Happy new year! I enjoyed your adventure as always. It stinks that the canopy walk and the bird walk were closed, but I hope both get fixed and reopen soon
This is one of your best video's yet...but I'm a bit biased as Myakka is one of my favorite places in Florida. Sooo many good memories. Myakka has been a place that one can just get lost with their thoughts and immerse themselves in something other than their daily lives and thus, rather cathartic for me at times in my life! BTW...it's good you didn't see any wild hogs...perhaps they're finally clearing the area of that invasive species...and clearly not making the same mistakes made down in the Glades!
Cold weather means it's Iguana dropping season!!! Happy Holidays, Cris and Jay!!! Myakka is cool!!!! Got to send an overnight there at their campsite! (greets from down here in Naples!)
We love Myakka River State Park. You should try going to Myakka River State Park “Deep Hole” just outside park across the highway. There is nothing there but a walking trail, gators at end & birds and sometimes wild boars. Have to get there early as they limit people going in to 20 all day.
you'll have to come over to Gainesville Florida, check out "Paynes Prairie and Preserve State Park", there is so much to look at. only 25 minutes away is a filming location in Micanopy.."DOC HOLLYWOOD", one of Adams haunts..."HAPPY NEW YEARS"!!
Speaking of the birds and wildlife acting strange they are doing it also up here in South Alabama also due to the cold .We live in a very remote area down on the Choctawhatchee River and the wildlife has been super abundant for the past week .My girlfriend has spotted a lot of unusual songbirds at her feeding areas in her wildlife habitats here .She has had a small flock of Pine Grosbeaks hanging out at the feeders continuously .They are hanging out with the similar House and Purple Finch flocks so a correct identication between the three is possible at about 4 feet in distance .They apparently got caught in a storm and directed down this way because they are way out of their normal range .At night the deer ,raccoons and other native creatures take over the feeders .They along with the bird baths are staying quite busy .She has spotted some huge bucks out there late at night feeding on the fruits ,nuts ,seeds and suet .We have a 600 gallon stock set up with a pump and heated bird baths .Fortunately our resident Black Bear sow is staying more down in the woods and nearer the river but does comes around to raid our honey trees every now and then .The bear ,venomous snakes and occasional bobcat have never been a problem here on our land .We just keep a safe distance and leave them alone .The house is full of lizards ,frogs and toads also but not an issue .Even the Eastern Bluebirds decided the kitchen would be a great place to hang out so she let them stay .They do not handle severe cold very well and can die if it gets too cold for them even with houses left up in the winter .They roost in some tall houseplants and leave in the morning when it warms up .They are familiar with her having raised several broods here over the years and her monitoring their houses regularly .I guess they decided they wanted a larger house to stay in out of the cold .We have Ruby Throated hummingbirds which do the same in the winter .She just puts out a feeder for the hummingbirds and mealworms for the bluebirds inside the house .She leaves a small area under the door open for them to go in and out of when they need to .No we don't have snakes inside we have plenty of dens ,barns full of hay and gopher tortoise burrows they use instead .The weather has been especially brutal up here in our area of Alabama with it getting down to 8 degrees not counting the wind chill .It may not seem that cold to some out there but it is for us down here in the deep south .Great video and you two are such a wonderful couple together .
