I actually been contemplating doing that, so I can get some of my tone back with the compressor and preamp pedal after the drop. I plan on making some changes soon, so I’ll definitely give it a shot
Hi! Is it worth buying the protein drive? I run a drive and a boost on my hx stomp but is it worth buying? Can you dial in a transparent overdive on it as first stage? Should you use both blue and green together for bigger sounds?
Yeah, it will definitely get the job done for you. The blue side isn’t 100% transparent if that’s what you are after. But it has a nice creamy tone to it, and a ton of low end. I like stacking both sides too, the green side is a lot bigger sounding. So you need to keep the drive back for it to be usable imo. But yeah if it’s worth it, I’m not sure. I think it is, but that’s something you’d have to decide for yourself self. I actually don’t have one anymore, if that says anything. But it’s a great drive, and sound great. If you have tried one yet, you definitely should.
@@anthonygroves16Nice. What are you using currently? How does the brown pedal differ from the rest of the worship overdrives. Have you heard of the JET Lion overdrive? I have only heard good stuff about it and maybe you should test it😁
I mean every overdrive is different, even the same circuits will sound different a lot of times. So you really just need to try things, and see how it feels for you. Right not I replaced my Protein for the Cornerstone Colosseum, and I really like it. It’s more open sounding to my ears. Ive never tried any of the Jet stuff, but I’ve heard good things to. I’d say, when you watch videos if the Protein is the sound you are looking for. Give it a try, and if it isn’t, sell it and buy something else until you are happy.
Sexxyyy board 😍 and broo i picked up a nano pog locally for really really cheap and this pedal is brand new to me you have any tips of how and when to use it??
Thank you bro! I love the nano pog! I like to use my mainly for leads. It keep the dry at 100% and I mix in the upper and lower octave to taste. Then I kick it on for big lead parts when I really want to stick out. But I also use it for ambient settings and swells, with the same settings on the pedal.
This is very true. I’ll eventually make the 2024 board demo thing, but the Hologram is already off the board and sold 🤣 I couldn’t get it out of my head the 450 price point, and me barely using it.
Yup I can agree with that. Just hard to justify the price, when I feel like I can get similar results from other effects. Especially within the hx stomp
I have the bad cat from alter amps ..sounds good ! I don't understand the benson chimera/// why everyone is running that cause It doesn't sound anything special.....im trying to be on the wave ..
I completely understand bro, I feel like it’s just a “cooler” fender lol. I like how it pairs well with the Bad Cat, so that’s why I’m using it honestly. The last few times I’ve been pairing the TF Matchless with the BadCat and I like it to. Even though they are similar amps 😂 For me it’s just all about if it sounds good or not. I’m not big on the what amp manufacturer I’m actually playing
Yeah, I like running 2 amps in stereo. So I had to buy 2 tonex’s to make that happen. It’s definitely worth it, and only cost a little bit more than a single hx stomp. When I ran 2 amps on there.
I’ve never tried one. But if I need to brighten up all need to do if turn my tone knob up on my compressor. Or I can play a different guitar, that has more articulate definition.
