While I'm disappointed that the show got cancelled, I'm also kind of glad -- we're actually getting the best of both worlds. A lot of shows that go on for three or more seasons eventually lose steam and become increasingly convoluted and silly (just look at Heroes and Lost). By making Once Upon a Time in Wonderland a miniseries that gave its characters a definitive happy ending, we're not frustrated by dangling plot threads or cliffhangers AND we get the added bonus of having the characters (like the Knave) show up in Once Upon a Time for some future adventures. Not all TV show fans get to have it this good.
Yeah, except when he shows up in the main series, they totally disregard his character development in Wonderland, and insert him as a plot device to create drama between Belle and Rumplestiltskin. The writers even confirmed that his time in Wonderland was BEFORE season 5 of the main show. It basically shits on this whole lovely story and tells us exactly how important they think it is.
Even tho I know that there is never gonna be anything more than friendship between knave and Alice, that last hug meant everything we knalice fan were hoping for. They have a bond stronger than true love a bond of loyalty and trust. And having a friendship like that is better than any love story
O, I loved this series!!! In some ways even more than OUAT... Watched all 13 episodes in a weeks time. Shame it ends after only one season. It would have been nice to see how Will and Anastasia became the true rulers of Wonderland. Maybe with a visit from Alice and Cyrus
Awww this left me in absolute tears! Although I didn't want this adventure to end, I'm also glad its over. It's beautifully finished and I love how they didn't drag it on. This tale is simply perfect and I love how the characters fought for their love and showed them through actions, and not just saying "i love you". Beautifully written and amazing actors, way to go writers! I knew that there was good in Anastasia. ;) But I'm so glad that Will is going to be a regular in season 4. "In Wonderland, anything's possible." - Alice. (btw, Cyrus is so cute!
Abigail Ahn For now, the producers don't want tell us what is happened between Will and Anastasia after the defeating of Jafar and before the final scene with Alice, Cyrus and the their children. 2:21 If we are lucky maybe in the future they will put even Jafar and Anastasia in the main series.
@@lpallad1were never got an answer to what happened to Anastasia because they got will intl the main once upon a time series but ge ended up dating belle.
@@nataliapanfichi9933 To tell the truth, they dismissed the matter by simply saying that the events of the fourth season of the main series take place BEFORE the spin off.
The last scene where it shows Cyrus and Alice daughter and their life now, it was just the icing on the cake. Just what I wanted. I didn’t have to fantasize thinking the happy ending they were gonna get I got to see it! Wonderful show.
I hope nobody takes this the wrong way but I'm kinda glad the show only lasted one season. It was meant to and they wrapped it up so nicely and told a nice, cohesive story without branching out and getting weird and making mistakes which is exactly the problem the main show is having *cough*HOOK*cough*. Instead it played out kinda like a long mini-series and I really liked it. It left a lot of room for these characters to join the main show and it's subtle tie-ins made it seem very realistic while keeping it it's own story. Will I miss it? Absolutely, but that's nothing that buying it on DVD and watching it again can't fix :) Kudos to a fun little show that brought back a little bit of the magic that OUAT season 1 gave us!
Definitely -- I actually think the producers and writers showed a lot of integrity by giving the show a happy ending instead of milking it for years just to make money. I personally think the series should be marketed as a miniseries so we can get that DVD (I still don't see it for sale!)
Hook's "redemption" is a fake. He isn't actually above of threatening or murdering people, and not precisely for noble causes. He was converted into an unlikable "hero". I'm not against anti-heroes, but Hook's redemption is absolutely void. Not any change of heart, not even a superficial one. The show is enjoyable, but still Hook is devoid of heroism.
I loved this spin-off after all. The characters are beautifully rounded, the plot is fulfilling and the depiction of man/woman friendship is just wow, so relatable to me. On the bad side, apart from too much CGI not the same high quality than OUAT, there are 10000000 inconsistencies with OUAT :( Only 4 characters appear in both series, and those who are very important in one aren't in the other and viceversa... nevertheless it's a mess... - Jafar, apart being played by two different actors, has two storylines which are very difficult to put together. - In OUAT, in a flashback set in Wonderland we see Will and Robin Hood apparently meeting for the first time, while in OUATIW they definitely know each other before Will ever goes to Wonderland. - Did I already mention Jafar being played by to freaking different actors? That just cringed me out. - While OUATIW, if I'm not mistaken, was released between seasons 2 and 3 of OUAT, its entire storyline must take place only after season 4, when an apparently still heartless Will has a short romantic relationship with Belle. - Unless every family in Agrabah has a fool who likes to mess up with the creepy girl from The Ring in a rasta version, one of Cyrus' brothers should be Sydney Glass. - In OUAT, a genie can be set free by his master if they wish for it, in OUATIW this doesn't work. How conveniently unconvenient for the entire plot of the spin-off to revolve around this issue. Can anybody help me to fix some of these?
Who's the other 2 characters that make the jump? Also, was there a scene that shows will meeting Robin in OUATIW? cause in OUAT I'm pretty sure they met in Oz while Robin was on a job
I'd like to know if Alice has any descendants......... since this is the past where she lives and Storybrooke and all the others are in the present world. What if Emma knew someone is a descendant of Alice and Cyrus? xD
So everyone has been saying that Alice's daughter looks a lot like the young Snow White. I agree, and I think it would be really cool if there was a plot-twist in OUAT and they brought Alice telling Snow that she is her real mother and that Snow was taken away when she was younger and all of her memories of Alice were taken away as well.
I personally would love it if Alice's daughter happened to be Ava, then Henry would have family ties in every land except for Arendelle... :) Plus, it would mean that Alice is Snow's grandmother, and they may talk about it in season 4... eh, enough of my babbling.
Giley3 I personally think that Alice and Cyrus haven't no more to say in their history. Only Will, Anastasia, and Jafar are the only ones that can be used for the main series.
i teared up... my heart... this is one of the series that ended perfectly! then the ouat writers had to ruin it with will and belle. ugh how the hell are they gonna explain y will isnt with ana? they've been through hell together and the ouat writers just have to torture us and will and taint this perfect ending
Kind of glad that this only lasted a season tbh. I think there was only so much that they could do with Wonderland itself. I feel like if they tried to prolong the show it would get dry very quickly and it would almost feel boxed in because there'd be nowhere else to go story wise.
She has her black hair from her father Cyrus that is why her hair is black and she has her beautiful looks from her mother Alice happy day and they might have more children never know and maybe the might see their friends in Wonderland again you'll never know.
Yea I still don’t understand the timeline of the 2 shows and how they connect. I gave up trying to figure it out a long time ago. I honestly think the writers just completely forgot about his ending in this show
I think they messed up the storyline because if you really think about it, In season 4 will did not have his heart and was dating belle, so I’m assuming when will went to wonderland and was in storybrooke he did not have his heart and at the end of season four he is back together with Anastasia
So the storyline for both shows take place in both season two and four, but at the end of season four he is back in wonderland with his heart and as king
Plus They never explain what Will did to the Fairy cuz I'm wondering did They used to Date? Like the only Thing We know about Will that He was in an Relationship with The Queen of Hearts.
I wonder what happened to the hatter I mean he wasn't there at Alice's wedding but I'm sure that wherever he is then he'll always been with her in both worlds.
I've been a big fans of Kris-Adam masterpiece OUAT.. I like the story line and how they match up all the fairytale characters and give us the twist.. However i never don't have any fav. charcter or the character that i really love until OUATiW comes up ! I totally fall for Cyrus ! If i had him as a genie, my wish totally will be i wish you'll be my genie forever hahaha however, Is that the young little girl at the end is the young Snow White? So it's means that Snow White basically is Alice and Cyrus's daughter right? Then, how can she ended up in magic forest? Isn't Alice and Cyrus back to England? The last thing is, how can Leroy was on Storybrook based on ep.1 OUATiW? Isn't Leroy is one of the dwarf and landed up in Storybrook after Regina vurse? As a fans of both series i started to have a lot questions regarding both series match up huhu
Honestly I thought that the Knave of Heart and Alice We’re going to be a couple. Also I like this version of once upon a time but none of the characters in this got to react to the other characters from the want to part time France right except for the knave !Also there was no streaking and growing And ours didn’t have Her iconic blonde hair.
"After an unknown period of time, Will somehow returns to Storybrooke and resumes his thievish ways." I think they'll explain it in later episodes somehow but so far nothing has been said as to how he ended up in storybrooke
I'm thinking Snow and Charming's curse brought him back by accident. I'm thinking with the release of Cinderella that in the next season Anastasia will be coming back since the writers have adapted the story to Disney releases (Oz the Great and Powerful, Frozen, Maleficent). It wouldn't be too shocking if the next arc followed Cinderella and her family. Maybe Regina hosts a Jerry Springer type show where Cindy, Anna, Anna's mother, get into a yell fight and Anna throws a chair at Belle.
Yes, I agree with apology. Especially with Ana throwing a chair at belle. This is the convo I imagine: Ana: UM. HES MY HUSBAND THANK YOU. Belle: HE CAME HERE TO GET AWAY FROM YOU. Ana: NO. PORTALS. CURSES. HE HAD NO CONTROL. YOU STUPID MOUSY HAIRED BOOKWORM. *throws chair.* Come on Will.
+imkimberlee I believe the timeline is off. Everything that's happening to Will now is pre-wonderland. In the OUAT world everything that happens in Wonderland hasn't happened yet. Will ends up in Storybrook because he was with Robin as one of his men when Regina's curse hit. Later the rabbit will come looking for him for help.
+Izze Gunn Yes, but we never know for sure. Remember when he first really came to Storybrooke and went to have a strange party with Alice in Wonderland? Emma didn't know him. So unless another memory thing happened, we can safely assume that was before she was randomly talking to Will in the first episode. Emma met him in season 4. However he didn't have a home then. He was living in a tent. But, if had came to Storybrooke with the rest of the people from the first curse, wouldn't he have had home? If he was in that tent for 30 years, I would think that Graham would notice or at least catch this robber! Now we must ask the question of when Will Scarlet went to Wonderland. We know it was before the curse because he went to Wonderland with The Red Queen (Although she wasn't Queen at that time) after being part of the Merry Men with Robin Hood. Of course Robin was not carried by the curse and they were doing something in a castle. I don't remember it that well, but if they were stealing from a castle, even a cursed one, it might have been because the ones that lived there disappeared. The reason that Will and whats-her-name left might have been because most of thier world just disapeared! And who do we know that has mirrors that are portals to Wonderland.... Rumplestiltskin! They might have been ransacking Rumplestiltskin's castle, before Robin decided to move into it! O.k., just thought of all this. I will look more into it later.
+Lillian Wayne when will was in storybrook it was before alice went to find cyrus and before he made up with anastasia so she was still evil. the alice in wonderland storyline takes place in the future of the storybrooks timeline. So will and anastasia are still living happily ever after.
This is actually not the final. Since Once Upon a Time doesn't follow the fairy tale exactly. Ofcourse because some fairy tale characters are together while they are from totally different fairy tales and so on. And even if they cancelled this. If they chose to make a new season or ABC orders a new season. Alice wouldn't have to be part of the show anymore. Cause it is called "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" and not Alice in Wonderland. So if they would make a season 2 one time, I'd like them to have an original character or show us more of wonderland. Or they should show us more of Wonderland .
Are Will and Anastasia the white king and queen or are Alice and Cyrus the white king and queen? I'm guessing Will and Ana but I just want to make sure
This was such an awkward end - Alice's goodbye with Will felt far too emotionally fraught and drawn out - to me it felt very strongly like they were more in love with each other than the people they were with. Not to mention they spent more time on this farewell than Alice and Cyrus' reunion. Especially with Alice racing over to tearfully hug Will after Anastasia and Cyrus had exited the frame (and particularly considering that they had just affirmed that they would visit and see each other again) the excess emotion of the situation left me wondering "what are they so worked up about? this isn't goodbye, so what are they REALLY upset about?" Even more weird: "hold on to your heart"? Sounds suspiciously like they're asking each other not to truly commit to their lovers. And then the awkward half smile and quick-look-away at the end from Alice when Cyrus comes up plus the kind of neutral smile on Cyrus's face felt very strained...
