I remember seeing this something ridiculous like seven times in the movie theater lol. Every single time this ending hit I got chills. Transformers 1 was not only the best of the bunch it was a darn good film for what it was. I hate how it just got sillier as the sequels went on
@SneakyAutobot I don't have much experience with Cullen as Optimus, but he has had great VA performances in Armada, Animated, Cybertron (don't know if Cullen voiced him in Robots in Disguise)
You should check the Turkish version, the Turkish voice actor is called Ayhan Kahya, has been awarded for best Optimus Prime also, he is the only voice actor that speaking bare microphone for Optimus voice so that he doesn't need any tune-up.He is one of the most iconic voices of Turkey
I can’t believe it’s been that long already. I was going into 7th Grade when this came out, and now I’m two years removed from finishing college. Time flies doesn’t it?
I remember everything from this scene, the smell of popcorn in the theater. When linkin park starts to sing that the title come up front and the light goes on. I was 16 that year, everything was easier.. Mom drove me back home, and the day after was school. Damn I miss those days
It’s def not the best movie in the world but I was like in middle school when it came out and already loved the cartoons, this was the event of a lifetime.
@@kumadori9627 true bro , 2000s were great, late 2000s were very nostalgic, after 2010 everything has changed, generation got spoiled by social media and now its even worse
Linkin Park What Ive Done was the best choice ever for a song in this movie especially the end scene. I thank the makers of this movie for selecting this song.
This Transformers movie was and and still is the best Transformers movie ever. Maybe it was the timing for me but I was super into Transformers as a kid and when this came out, it was everything I imagined it would look like live action and more. The ending still gives me chills to this day
The 2000s was the best time to be a kid ngl. Transformers, GI Joe, phase 1 of the MCU, power rangers was still good, the OG Spider-Man movies, Star Wars prequels, etc…
I remember being 12 years old, watching this together with my dad back when you would rent the DvD’s. It’s hard to explain, but this for me was a life changing scene.
Looking back out of the 4 movies, This is the best of the movies and before Michael Bay became what he has. We are here, and we are waiting.... For another good transformers movie
0:41 idk if i’m crazy but i love how he sighs of relief looking down at the autobots and looking at the view after. like he’s at peace in the moment. sam and makayla are safe, the earth isn’t taken over. he’s where and what cybertron could’ve been if the war didn’t happen.
@@wingman5100 which is why UNICRON IS COME A RUNNING!! 😆😯 cant wait for rise of beasts. all formers are looking sick. glad optimus lookin kinda G1 too. like in bumblebee movie.
It is absolutely indescribable how obsessed I was with this movie as a kid. I recently watched it again during the summer and remembered why I love this ending so much. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this movie's ending is the definition of a perfect ending. You will not find a movie out there now that makes you feel the way this movie did.
Also has lived in my head rent free. I usually watch it once or twice a year. And Linkin Park I listen to on the daily. Transformers will always be one of my top favorite films
As an original fan from its release date. I can honestly say this is one of the most amazing representations of Transformers of all time. Optimus has his original voice here and probably gives one of his most epic speeches of all time. This was a calling to all Autobots as well as a warning to all Decipticons. We are here, we are ready, and we are waiting. Autobots absolutely stole the show on this movie.
"With the all spark gone, we cannot return life to our planet, and fate has yielded its reward, a new world to call home. We live among its people now hiding in plain sight, but watching over them in secret, waiting, protecting, I have witnessed their capacity for courage, and though we are worlds apart, like us there is more to them than meets the eye. I am Optimus Prime, and i send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars ... we are here...we are waiting."
The first film, while definitely flawed, was easily the best in the franchise and is something I look back on fondly. This ending scene is a reminder of why.
It was perfectly done. An even balance of storyline with the human characters and showing a human characteristic to the robots. It was a simple movie and it’s a classic
I'll always love the first movie. It captured a feeling that no other film in the franchise did afterwards. Transformers were the coolest thing for me growing up.
They really only have bumblebee and Optimus lest from this movie. So many Autobots now, this was the original 5 well.. 4 by the end but they were the most badass to
I was a freshman in high school who FINALLY made some cool friends when this came out. I had just moved from Buffalo NY to Temecula, California. We all went with girls to see it in theaters. It was an amazing feeling. 16 years later we’re all still cool ❤
"I have witnessed their capacity for courage and thought we're worlds apart like us THERE'S MORE TO THEM THAN MEET THE EYE. I am Optimus Prime and I send this message to any surviving Autobot taking refuge among the stars: WE'RE HERE, WE'RE WAITING!"
Let's pretend the sequels didn't happen and this is the real and only ending the autobots defeated the Enemy and now humanity lives in peace knowing the autobots will protect them this is the real ending fuck the sequels not Canon to me
I remember when this came out in 2007, theatre was packed, and at the end everyone applauded and clapped cheering 👏, was something to catch on camera, I wish I could relive it
With 4 sequels, we cannot return the goodness to the transformers films. But at my home, I enjoy this movie. I see them in plain sight, hiding, watching, protecting. Ever since the first, I have wanted the rest of the films to be just like it, but better. I have witnessed his capacity for effort. And though we are miles apart, like us: there's more to him than meets the eye. I am a Transformers fanboy and I send this message to Michael Bay: We are here. We are waiting for a good sequel.
I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars. We are here. We are waiting -Optimus Prime aka Robo Jesus
I've grown up with this movie since my father and I really love sci-fi/action and anything related with cars movies, and I watched this again recently. Still gives me goosebumps everytime.
Funny how time literally makes these films the cream of cinema. At a time when critics criticized these films, today they should be an example in terms of story, CGI, action scenes...
This Optimus Prime, no matter how flawed we thought at the time he was, is THE definitive Prime in my eyes. Peter Cullen is Optimus, and we can't change that.
Nope, he's still pretty flawed. Even Cullen had issues with what Bay wanted Optimus to say. Shouting "I'll kill you all" and "Give me your face" spit in the face of what Optimus is meant to stand for.
I love how this has blown up as a meme, and it is a good ending, but now everyone will say transformers was a cinematic masterpiece even though everyone trashed on it for years
The first Transformers didn't get that much hate back in the day and in general it was accepted as good popcorn movie. The second one was the one that doomed the franchise for ever
Faith Fonua yh he did but I kind of like the new version but when I 1st saw TF4 back in 2014 when I was in year 7 I saw optimus prime and I was like is he still the same but no he was changed
He looks evil and angry as fuck if i was cade i think he could kill me any second meanwhile optimus in tf 1 to 3 looked like he would protect till the end
This was such a well made movie. Not great but a great summet flick. Nice story, good dialogue, and man that ending was epic. I think the cgi in the first movie is the best out of the 4 movies. I was looking forward to the sequel. And wow, what a dissapointment. In a way the sequels take away what made the 1st one so special. Pls Michael Bay just stop.
Michael Bay agreed with Paramount Pictures to direct Transformers 4 in exchange for financing Pain & Gain. Peter Cullen encouraged Mr. Bay to direct Transformers 5.
When I was 6 my parents we’re watching the movie late at night in the living room and I couldn’t sleep so I ran to them.. it was the ending scene where Optimus hold his speech and I was fascinated by the first sec. I asked my parents if I could watch the movie the next day and so I did. Optimus and all the other transformers are my hero’s since I was a little girl and they’re still are. ❤️ Can’t wait for my first tattoo in one year what will be the Autobot symbol 😊💪🏻
2007 what a fucking year to be alive... Mass Effect, Halo 3, Gears of War, Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift on DVD, and the release of the greatest CGI adaptation that still holds up today, Transformers, along with Linkin park Releasing their next album Minutes To Midnight.... I would kill to relive this year for the first time
If this ended up being just the one film, and they never had that Starscream tease or any of the other scenes, I’d have been absolutely satisfied with this ending. It just goes so hard.
I went to see this movie the night it was released at a theater in downtown Boston, it was the first theater I’d been in that was so packed that the ushers let people sit in the stairs and the isles. If you didn’t have popcorn or a soda when the movie started too bad, you weren’t getting any. At the end everyone in the theater gave it a standing ovation. It is one of the best time’s I’ve ever had going to see a movie!
I LOVE how Bay has Optimus begin to walk away before cutting instead of just cutting with him looking out. I don’t know why, but that has always stuck out to me.
