Request for the editors can we please see more of the other perspectives, I.e . Spiffs. Other than at the start the next 20 mins are split between Lewis and Duncan's. Need more of the other guys.

At least it's not custom, though to be fair faction designers are probably hard to balance. You can completely cheese the Galactic Civilisations faction designer by setting race type to synthetic, debuffing the disabled stats (approval, growth, farmer) and maxing out every money related stat and ability (wealth, influence, tourism, trade, devout, traders). Even when I set that faction to AI it just totally dominates everything.

it was in the first or second Civ series he was in with them as well as the OpenTTD of last year's Jingle Jam, maybe other stuff too but I don't remember everything

The thing is that the Cultists need to convert a good amount of villages to be viable, and get a big army to defend the riskier conversions. Big army. Rythian. See the problem?

@@phaerlax Luckily the Cultists kind of get a big army passively due to all the village spawns. They're not good units but there are a lot of them once you get conversions rolling.

Personally i think villages are a trap, the tiles they exploit can't be boosted by buildings from your city so they always only give base yield. It costs gold to upkeep, military commitment to defend, and increase the costs of your empire plan. The true strength of the cultist comes from their T3 districts that give enough happiness to help them expand into the entire region and maximising their exploitation area. Not having villages also means you can max the empire plan without needing to put much of your people into influence production, the +2science/industry, 50% food/dust on a region sized city is massive

Would be nice if they had bothered to do some editing though instead of uploading a straight up Twitch VOD. Remove the massive facecams and actually show different peoples POV (this has only Duncan, Spiff and Lewis, aka the Yog stream).

Among the litany of financial and process reasons this video was just a slightly cut VOD, I would assume we're going to be getting a lot more videos like this on the Civ channel for a while until they can adapt their production cycle to RU-vid's new 30 minute or longer runtime preference. I don't mind a ton, but it's a shame we can't see Rythian and Daltos' POVs this way.

Normally I'd be all for a longer video format but I've always enjoyed the fact that the Civ channel uploads 4-5 hours before the other channels, giving me something to watch in the morning but now I'm assuming there will be no more daily uploads if they're 1 hour+ long

This is definitely my favourite 4x game, though for sure the broken lords need challenged early, which in this format they often get left alone for too long and become unstoppable.

I can't tell if you're using the community patch, but I highly recommend it. Improves ai and a lot of bugs. It also has a handful of balance changes, but nothing too crazy.

While I'm fine with longer videos, I think this is a bit too long. 45 minutes to an hour would be better imo. Also, if I wanted to watch an unedited, super long video of whatever you're playing, I'd just go watch the vod. I don't really see the point of this video if you aren't going to edit it at all.

Honestly the length is that big a deal if they release them a few days apart, I don't really mind. However if they are just going to put them up unedited with them being on screen the entire time and less persepectives that come with the stream, why even bother uploading this video at all if its basically exactly the same as the vod.
