Hi there… nice review and your mouthing procedures seem to be clean and well organized. Your Solar Panel should be enough for a little fridge or an overnight heater. What’s the Amp of that fuse that you put on the + cable just before the battery? Keep on doing your great job 👏

Hello @angelo, thank you! I also use a 500WH power set for our refrigerator and all other electrical appliances. The fuse that comes with the set is a 20 amp fuse. Have a nice Sunday, Peter

Hi there how is the Solar Panel holding up? Does it work ok and does the adhesive tape still holds everthong like it should? I am looking for a hood solar panel for my Range Rover L322 that will charge my starter battery while camping. Thanks for your video, I look forward to your reply. Best regards from Lower Austria.

Hey, yes, the panel really does stick! It doesn't matter if it's raining and cool, or if it's in the sun at 35°C all day. However, with an adhesive tape price of almost 30 euros, it should :D What I can definitely recommend is that you seal the panel all around and at the wiper nozzles with Sikaflex afterwards. Many greetings, Peter

If all you need is something to keep your battery charged up enough to start a cheap small solar panel that connects via accessory port should do just fine.

Hello Peter, motivated by your two videos I bought myself the solar panel too. The decal delivered by lensunsolar unfortunately did not fit perfectly on my hood and will be replaced by one from Oryx Solutions. At the moment I'm testing the performance of the panel itself. Yesterday the output was approx. 100 WH/day. Now I'm curious about the results your panel delivers the last view days. I would highly appreciate, if you can give us a short update about this. 🙂 Thanks in advance.👍

Hey @Thomas, what was wrong with the decal so it didn't fit? I looked at the history of the panel and the maximum power in one day was 360 WH/day. But I must say that I did not care about the right position to the sun and the angle, nor whether the car was in the sun all day 😉 Compared to my mobile Jackery Solar Saga 100, the performance is not so high, but that also depends on the easier and better adjustment of the angle and positioning of the mobile solar panel to the sun. This is not quite so easy with a panel permanently installed on the vehicle. 😄 From there I find the performance already quite good! I will try the vehicle throughout the day to place correctly to the sun and see what comes out then. All the best to you, Peter

@@notthatkindofachannel 360 WH, sounds not to bad. I think I have play a bit with the positioning of my D4. Regarding decal, I wasn't happy with the dimensions. I tried to center the screenwasher in the hole, but the decal

@@notthatkindofachannel 360 WH, that doesn't sound bad. I'll have to play around a bit with the positioning of my D4. Regarding the decal: I had tried to centre the wiper nozzles in the recess. But the decal stuck out at the edge of the windscreen. I then placed it on the edge. The decal then bumped against the nozzles and ripples formed on the leading edge that I couldn't get rid of. Unfortunately, I only noticed all this when the film had already been applied completely wet. There was no time left for a corrective cut and so the thing ended up in the bin. The new decal is probably smaller (about the same as the panel itself) and also cheaper. Now I'm waiting for the GLS man to ring twice.

@Thomas That's true about the cutout of the windshield washer nozzles, so they did not fit 100%. But I did not have to cut anything out and the position otherwise fit very well with me. I think 400 to 450 WH/day should be possible under good conditions maybe even more.
