They've gone from fighting vampiric robo-Knights and a plague of all-consuming insects to fighting vampiric religious zealots and a plague of all-consuming cyborg bugs. Not much of an improvement on their previous situation.

Gotta wonder how hysterically overjoyed Opbot must've felt when everything powered back on just as he had lost hope

OMG OMG. Lemme get this straight. Are these the VAULTERS that escaped AURIGA from Endless Legend??? It has to be right? The Auriga we find in-game is an ice planet. Connecting the games together and expanding the lore is thumbs up imo.

Is this providence? Divine intervention? A twist of fate? Or simply an extremely fortunate roll of the dice? To have the ship's power restored and its FTL drive restored at just this moment, seems like it could be nothing short of a miracle.

I don't normally comment, but, You can really feel the sadness in the ai's voice when he says he cant save his people

Fun fact, the ring around the Vaulter ship is a Torus Warp Ring/Drive (AKA, "Alcubierre drive"). Considering the theories around such rings, it'd explain why Vaulter ships are actually able to warp around their empire much more quickly than other empires' ships. The problem is, it's also theorized that you'd need at least two rings to keep the ship intact during a jump *and* the force created by both rings could destroy a planet if the ship were to decelerate while facing a planet (no idea how much space is actually needed to decelerate without destroying something somewhere). As no planet (or anything else) is destroyed upon a Vaulters' ship arrival, one can guess that the deceleration issue was figured out. But there's also the issue how much energy is actually required to meet such speeds through space.

I love how the music is a re-arrangement of the Endless Legend track they have. Beautiful work and really excited to see how they play in the game!

This is still one of my favourite game trailers/prologues of all time.

Wish they would do this with some of the other factions of Endless Legend, I would've loved to see The Cult on space, using religion to erase anything related to the Endless... They would've been a good rival of the Vodyani.

Have built and waiting to use a D&D character based on OpBot on this short. Also in a campaign I ran I had a whole race of people inspired by the vaulters. Such a compelling cinematic, I keep coming back to it.

To be perfectly honest, I was kinda hoping we get to see some Forgotten accompanying the Vaulters. Sisters of Mercy are cool, but I would really like to see the Forgotten and Vaulters make up and join forces to face that galaxy together as one people. Cool thing I think the Necrophages won Endless Legend. According to the comic at least.

First AI vaulter I met imediately blockaded my outposts and I delared war on them as soon as I sent my armada to one of their major systems. Then I strong arm them after the truce pact every 20 turns for tributes of immigrants and resources. They also literally settle everywhere. Which opens them to be attacks by everyone. 10/10

I don't know i dont like the art... I just don't feel it. Maybe too much Warhammer 40k or just the art style doesnt fit for me.

when are the space Cultist coming? in their intro vid, they said they were created by the Endless themselves. and their goal is to conquer the entire universe!

When I discover an IA Vaulter faction, I usually destroy them on the spot because they become completely op in endgame. Still love them though.
