Pend Magicians can establish a scarier end board than endymion,can afford to toss hand traps in it, and are way better at disruptions than endymion. Yet endymions deck is in mostly not being opt,and can special summon from deck at any moment of both turns with an archetypal card

Winda explained it well. However if you want to be a gigachad, i suggest you play endymion. Most of the time, the end board of pen magician is just generic bosses such as Apollo, Borreload savage, baron... which to me very lame. To me, there is no point playing a deck that their "boss monsters" is not even from their own archetype because it just so boring and those generic boss monters are ruining yugioh. Endymion has weaknesses and requires a lot brainpower to play, however, once you have mastered it, it feels so satisfying to break a full board. That's why it's a gigachad deck to me.

Pend magician is low cost

I do run it in my list now, as it’s replaced Knightmare Unicorn, but I have yet to actually summon it. All it is for me right now is just an alternate form of non destruction removal if the situation arises.

It’s not as good in the current meta. Snake eyes and rescue ace use diabellestar, and the Horus cards are spellcasters as well, so the meta decks have a much easier time getting around it. Necrovalley hurts meta decks a lot more currently.
