Nevermore is such a legendary project. From the vocals to the guitars and drums.....absolute perfection. The best part is Warrle didnt have to growl to bring out the aggression in his vocals. Absolute legends.
That is so fucking true, the best aggresive clean vocals out there. They comee from passion, they come out of the desire to shake the world. His vocal speak for themselves. Clean vocals absolute.
I really like Nevermore. They mix thrash and death metal, sing in low notes but wide vocal style, and dark feeling in their song make no one sounds like Nevermore
I totally agree& I love Nevermore as well , the way they mix their sound is incredible it’s very innovative and inspiring. And Warrel Danes voice was out of this world it fit so perfectly. May he rest in peace . #longlivenevermore
He's the rare type who's so unbelievably great when they're good we'll forgive a LOT of off nights. Alcohol robbed us of a living legend. He was active decades.
Warrel was such a great person. I got the chance to talk to him in 99 for like a half hour before a show. He was really great to hang with. One of the best songwriters in metal. I had the pleasure to see Him and Jim live in Sanctuary several times and always went to see them with Nevermore. RIP Warrel, thanks for great memories
This is so tight and powerful, a gathering of great songwriters, great players, great performers. What a band! Too bad they won't be around anymore, but we will always have Nevermore.
That is the performance that got me into Nevermore. In retrospect I think they were in their best shape at this show. Warrel Dane is really giving his best to the crowd. And he looks healthy here.
I was also introduced to Nevermore on the Gigantour and became an instant fan. RIP Warrel Dane. Awesome crowd interaction and stellar vocals. You may be gone but will never be forgotten.
Dear god! That is the very first live I am listening from Nevermore from the very first song I have discovered back then. I would have never imagined their performance would be so intense and brutal. That is incredible.
I know nevermore will never come back again sadly, I just think Jeff Loomis is completely wasted in arch enemy right now. He is such a great song writer on top of being an amazing guitarist and I think he's held back in arch enemy.
mcgarnacle21 I think most of us who saw him with nevermore and his solo projects agree with that...I am a big fan of melodic death but never got into arch enemy and like u said I think jeff looses his time with this band
Giannis Kagias I like arch enemy, at least their older stuff, but I read in a recent interview that Ammot doesn’t really allow him much creative input which, as I said, is a big waste.
There is no Nevermore without Warrel. Jeff is wasted in Arch Enemy, but he still does his side projects where he writes songs, and I'm happy for him that he gets paid as his talents have always deserved in a big band like Arch Enemy.
I love the *idea* of Jeff in Arch Enemy, but his talent is going to waste as a "hired gun" in that band. I love AE, but let's be honest, it's the Michael Amott show: he writes all the songs, records all the parts, pens the lyrics, etc. and everyone else is just there to be part of his concept. Jeff is better than that.
