Can someone PLEASE do a friends ro lovers reccomendation . I love friends to lovers trope I feel like it's so underrated , and every enemies to lovers seems copy and paste lately im fed UPPPP . My harry potter friends to lovers fanfics don't cut it anymore I need real books 😣

actually i think the opposite lol i think friends-to-lovers is generally fun whenever, but enemies-to-lovers hits harder when it's done well, mainly because most enemies-to-lovers don't have legitimate reasons to make them enemies, and usually, attraction is enough to get them over being enemies. when enemies-to-lovers is done well, truly star-crossed, overcoming high structural and personal hatred, the stake can be much higher than the potential of ruined friendship.

Check and Mate is very competitors to lovers, not enemies to lovers. Such a subtle difference, but it's more like the academic rivals to lovers. Like I love how the two people always push each other to do better in their fields. Like the competition fuels them, and that means the other person fuels them. Ugh I love it.

gurl if you like books that take place on ships def try tress of the emerald sea. yes I know it takes place in the cosmere but you can read it without any brandon sanderson knowledge. it's not enemies to lovers (crying screaming throwing up honestly) but as a fantasy book it is a m a z i n g.

Have you read Heartless Hunter (Crimson Moth)I have a feeling you would love it! Secret identity on both main characters and it’s so good! Literally can’t wait for the sequel! Prison Healer trilogy is amazing as well, legit sad I read all the books in a week and it’s over.

Friends to lovers can be so cute and rlly good reads when done well , and i feel like booktok put enemies to lovers romance on a pedestal as if almost all enemies to lovers tiktok reccomends arent almost all copy and pastes of each other (as in girl likes hot guy , enemies w tension become lovers) and i love enemies to lovers but i need smth different . With that bieng said , i think that if an enemies to lovers is actually done really well , and the enemies have a reason to hate each other , but the characters still fall in love w each other for a good reason , they can be done better than a good friend to lovers . Also enemies to lovers just hits diff in a romantasy when theres actual plot , and friends to lovers romantasy isnt as common
