ENFJ vs ENFP differences - how to tell them apart? 

What are your thoughts on the differences between ENFJ and ENFP?

Absolutely agreed about ENFP s way of answering questions. Whenever i do it ,, i start with : time , geography and then the detailed story. CONTEXT IS EVERYTHING 😂

When someone I know who is in ENFP start giving me every detail and all the background story when I just asked a simple question it makes me want to blow my brains out

ENFJ with an ENFP, and this is a truth bomb! I'm a fundraiser, so I'm constantly focused on how to motivate people to donate their resources to achieve a goal that is in alignment with the group's shared values. He's an entrepreneur, so he's much more focused on how to make his ideas a reality.

I communicate and talk like an ENFP, have the emotional "reading" of ENFJ (hard 4 me to go "deep down") and "please" people but also are more the ENFP Type by getting manny ideas but do not finish them ore "hate" routin days, more the explore and dont know what the future has open 4 me. Awesome video. I think you're as spot on as one could be. I'm an ENFP and my partner in business is an ENFJ. We work so damn well together, it's wild. We cover eachothers differences and weaknesses precisely, it seems. It's a powerful combination. I'm so full of ideas, she can relate, and better yet, hold me accountable to those ideas 🤣

My first test, I scored as an ENFJ and was happy with it. My second about 9 years later, I got ENFx. But based on the secondary functions you described, I really consider myself an ENFJ. Thanks! Now to figure out if I'm more of an ENFJ-A or an ENFJ-T

In an ENFP. Even though I get ENFJ all the time in the test. I think when I talk to people I hide how I truly feel about things and that doesnt have to do with my MBTI but a deppresion. Where I stop saying what I feel and I filter it and changed it to sound intellectual. 😇😅 happy to know now. I didnt figure this out it was a chakra expert that told me. LOL not naruto. I thought I was ENFP after reading the most popular "descriptions" of the types, but when I dug into the real cognitive function side of things, I found I related much more to ENFJ. I am pretty sure of this now, and I find it very interesting how you say one of the ways this difference manifests in ENFJs is answering questions more directly, without feeling such a need to unpack the details on the spot or provide a lot of context, because that tends to be how I roll when I am first asked. For instance, my brother and I have always liked doing fictional character analysis and personal identification with them, and I was always the one who said "I think you're like so-and-so," and I was also almost always quicker to come to a conclusion than he was. He then would ask me what brought me to that conclusion, but I then found myself struggling to articulate why, I had to stop and think it over to explain, whereas he didn't come to his conclusions as quickly and didn't answer until he had already broken his opinions down very thoroughly (we are both pretty sure he is INTP, by the way XD)

The percentages for these websites are throwing off a lot of people. The percentages are simply showing you based on the questions you answered but are not indicative of the cognitive functions. You cant really be 50/50 J or P as she explains, because they use totally different functions and manifest very differently. Most people get lost in the descriptions and can relate to most of them. Sometimes the best way to tell what type someone is, is by what their blindspot function is. ENFPs have Ti blindspot and in my experience are very illogically inconsistent by nature. They do not make decisions based off sound logic but more using Fi and Te to rationalize an Fi desire. ENFJs tend to be so determined and big picture focused that they ignore/neglect their internal sensory world and burnout from lack of self care, or miss important details that cost them (Si-blindspot). Objective personality also talks about ExxJ have imbalances with people dynamics, and ExxPs have problems with imbalance in organization and over-gathering. Hope someone finds this helpful :)

This explains in a very amazing way why I clash with extroverted feelers... I definetly prefer values and beliefs over momentary harmony, in a way...what worth is harmony if deep down it's all ...rotten? that sounded a little dramatic haha. I do have a lot to learn with FE too, like becoming more demonstrative for example.

I'm an ENFJ, love mobilizing groups but now to the point where I will shadow do everyone job to ensure the project is complete strictly for team moral. Personal don't like failure and really would not others to feel that if it's something I can control. However very go with the flow if hiccups happen, as long as you give 100% (110% for myself) I'm happy with the journey.

As an ENFJ 7w8 8w7 3w4 (so/sx) sometimes it's so hard to distinguish myself between the ENxx types -and even INxx types sometimes with 7's growth to 5. However I don't have Ni or Ti ignoring (5th function) nor Ti/Fi trickster. Demonstrative 4D Ne as well as auxiliary Ni fits very well. If you guys - in the comments - have problems with sorting yourself I would say look at the 8 function model and go from there, not from behaviors set in stone. Though this video explained it very well, you can be biased and your perception of self can be interpreted differently from someone in the observing position. Although you are the only one who can find your own type, so know that you guys are being truthful to yourselves in the process.

I think J is clean. I went to r/enfj and they just were so clean and organized. I'm much more of a nester. It's cozy but a little unclean. And a little chaotic. If you look at all the J vs P counterparts, the J is always a little more structured.

However, I think you touched too lightly on how extraverted intuition (Ne) manifests in ENFPs in a more concrete fashion like you did with introverted feeling (Fi) and extraverted thinking (Te) and vice versa for the ENFJ. Overall, still one of the best explanations.

You tell the difference because the ENFP has his cap on backwards and says “dude” a lot. The ENFJ is holding the clipboard and trying to get you to sign the partition lol! ENFP is cool, ENFJ isn’t always so concerned about being cool, more concerned about what is right. ENFP will talk fast, tell you about 100 different topics in an hour, and remember random facts like a pro. The ENFJ will tell you all about humanitarian stuff and the ways in which the world could be changed for the better.
