@@SpeedyBozar Did you watch the video? I know it's long, but in one of the games (I think it was Maru vs. Soo 2) one of the players was getting owned in one front in a two-front attack. They were unable to defend both attacks, and basically Tasteless randomly said it was "Timmy two screens" making him lose. It's in one of the later matchups.
Can soo's coach tell him to build more hatches late game? throwing 1 game and almost another in his BO3 because he has 10k++ bank and no larva. It was just 10 minutes straight of 140/200 and not being able to spend his money. Gold league stuff...
Yeah Soo's play was honestly quite bad in a number of ways terrible larva management as mentioned, his game sense was awful made him play ultra passive in situations he had no reason to do so which led to letting his opponents get back into a couple games at least, and he refused to tech up in situations where he was miles ahead but couldn't finish the game because he was just staying on Roach/Ravager the entire time. That game 2 against Maru I wanted to pull my hair out it was so frustrating how he was playing that game out smh.
Do all the top-tier Zergs still have their Queens Inject their Hatcheries in the late-game, or do they just have enough Hatcheries to provide sufficient Larvae without needing to do that?
I was surprised Maru was able to almost win in his last game vs Cure after finding his army trapped behind his own rock. Seems like there was definitely a point where he could have backed off (e.g. not siege his 1 tank near the middle of the map) in order to hold the counter push and build up a critical mass. Maru's 2nd game vs soO was pretty crazy. It's been a while since I've seen a Terran play from such a dead position vs a roach timing and almost go all the way. One of the most memorable ones to me is MVP vs Tefel (Game 1 Group A Ro.32 WCS European Premier League).
LOL first TvT commentator loves the army split vs a smaller army and thats what leads to him losing because your overwhelming army is now two beatable little chunks.
@@charlessoong3435 Maru is going to have a much harder time with the time Oliveria beat him since he was definitely the favorite to win that. Serral has 0-4'ed him before.
What's up with Soo and misscalculating how many biles he needs per tank ? I was loosing my mind watching several tanks firing for an extra 10+seconds in almost every single game.
I always root for zerg, but SoO really have lost my love. Maybe it's just the fact that he feels a bit uncomfortable playing at the highest level right now after being gone, but his playstyle is so.. strained. There is no doubt he is an amazing player, incredibly strong. But there really is something lacking in his play when you compare him to the other zergs out there right now. It feels like he is just trying to brute force his way to winning, and sometimes it works. He is an excellent player, no doubt. Maybe this is just a sign that the current zerg players all have very distinct and uniquely creative playstyles right now, or maybe soO is just struggling to get back into form. It's hard to say.
Soo has been and will always be the Lair Tech King. I remember him back in the HotS days he would play muta ling bane for ever and never transition into hive tech
@@scottbruce7423 He definitely needs some coaching on how to get out of that rut and expand his play style. He's definitely an elite player, but as the casters pointed out, he doesn't seem to know what to do in the late game, and his ability with spellcasters has always been terrible. I think him coming back made it even worse. He actually performed much better in the previous round. Then again, I don't think he had to go to the late game then.... Regardless, if he's going to win another tournament, he needs to get more well rounded.
@@kommisar. is it really a rut when that's how they've defined their entire career? At this point, it's just the style he likes to play, I think. And it's not like he hasn't had success doing it. He got to the round of 8, beat Byun, got demolished early game by Maru 3 times and won the single game he didn't fall way behind.
@@scottbruce7423 Yes, it's a rut when you're continually not making it past a certain bracket or hitting a wall at a certain point of the game. He's a great player and has a had a lot of success in the game, more than most people could dream of, but if he wants to make it farther, win another major tournament even, he needs to fix this part of his game. Obviously his mid-game Roach play works to a good extent, but he needs a way to transition out of it when it isn't. It worked on Byun and it didn't work on Cure or Maru. Does that mean he doesn't have to improve anything?
OMG I must say I was completely wrong guess game 2 results for Maru vs Cure. LOL I fast forwarded thinking one side already won, then realized I was wrong in my assumption and rewatched.
Damn, so many great games in here, amazing! Also, great casting ofc as usual. Tiny thing, but I get the impression that State sometimes tries to one-up or correct Tasteless, there are sort of debates going on that didnt happen with Tastosis. That's not needed, TasteGOD knows what he is talking about, just let him make his point!
soo is like so godawful at late game, does his coaches doesnt tell his obvious problem? he literally groups all his stuff in to 1 big army instead of like most pros and have 1 main army on left and smaller army on right to defend. any decent player will just pull him apart non stop while he draw his big army cross the map non stop
All the Serral fanboys are crying with the GOAT talk. The issue is Serral ducked his invitation to the GSL in 2018 and 2019 he only accepted a ST once. He had his chance to end the debate by atleast participating in a full season. Because of this he will never be the GOAT, just the best non korean in SC2.
I hear some bs, Serral comes from a rich family. If he trully wanted to prove the goat for good he would have the balls for a season in the GSL. The reality is he ducked his invitation in 2020, yet serral fanboy fail to acknoweldge this. Serral is the best non Korean in the world thats all you can say.@ProtossOP
@@themightyredemption I'm not a Serral fanboy nor do I actively follow SC2 scene for like a year or two. But I fail to see how staying for a season of a tier 2 tournament(yes I think that GSL is a tier 2 tournament these days) is having balls. GSL for a non-korean is a huge time and money sink that's not worth prize money nor title. Quick note: if winning 4-0 in the recent ESL finals against 7 times back-to-back GSL champion doesn't prove anything I don't know what will.
When RU-vid videos are first uploaded it is automatically in lower resolutions first, then the higher resolutions come after. It takes longer for RU-vid to process the higher resolutions. Spread the word so hopefully this question doesn’t need to be asked anymore by 2030 😊
@@TheVanillatech It was a bit depressing, so I didn't read in details. But she did say she did the job for like 9 years already. Maybe she thinks it's time to move on to something else...

Serral ducked out of his invitation in 2018 and 2019 yet Serral fanboys act like he hasnt had a chance for a GSL season. He simply doesn't have the balls. He is the best non korean ever for sure, but a reality check is needed. @@kommisar.
Another late game zerg loss against an elite terran where they go brood lords and/or ultras. T3 zerg is garbage in the current meta. Doesn't stop Serral, though, lol.
Wrong. Roaches are garbage in the current meta. Ling bane is really strong since the widow mine nerf. Every terran is going tanks. Soo was in too bad of a spot from playing roaches for too long.
@@ghosthamster6521 He had a fair amount of success on the Roach comp. The problem is when he ran up against a wall he didn't transition out of them for a long time, and furthermore, more importantly actually, his late-game game is not good. He has always avoided spellcasters and it shows, and Zerg NEEDS good spellcaster use in the late game.
omg please stop pretending the GOAT conversation is still a conversation; IT IS NOT! Serral has literally done better than Maru overall! More tourney won more money won than Maru even tho he started YEARS LATER than Maru! And here's the biggest one; almost EVERY TIME they face each other SERRAL SHREKS MARU! not even close! Serral = Goat... Maru doesnt even come up in the conversation imo!
Serral ducked out of an invitation to GSL in both 2018 and 2019. I have more respect for foreigners that actually tried atleast a season. He will never be considered the GOAT because of this.
This community is delusional. If you aren't playing against the best there is no way you can be called best in the world. Let alone title of GOAT. Serral is great, but he is not deserving of the title yet. That fact that is is controversial is ridiculous.
Serral literally plays your so called "best" all the time wiped the floor with them at Katowice and the ESL season finals in Dallas believe the total map score between those two tournaments was 35-4 for Serral but yeah he's not the best just because he hasn't gone to Korea to do it in your precious GSL. And what has your GOAT Maru done outside of Korea basically nothing guy can't win anything if he isn't in Korea home with all his comforts. Maru can't win a weekend tournament to save his life in fact Maru hasn't won a premier in person offline tournament outside Korea since WESG in March of 2018 it's been over 6 years. So yeah for you and all the other people that say Serral needs to play GSL to be the GOAT I say Maru has to win something besides a GSL outside Korea to be the GOAT, and oh maybe actually beat Serral a couple times too and not get 4-0 swept in back to back finals pretty sure Serral is 14-3 against Maru all time in matches but hey you keep deluding yourself and call him the GOAT cause you are the only delusional one sir not the community smh.
If the game was balanced in favor of Terran ever, Serral wouldn't be capable of wiping maru. Hell, in Dallas Oliveira would have won 3 2 vs Serral if the widow mine wasn't neutered.
@@theGoldyMan 10k banks vs byun with no eco - terran still wins LMFAO. yeah bud its just Maru. Its not the broken race with 98374587374568764378 ways to win vs the 2 zerg has and the 0 protoss have (cant whine bout OP toss when no GSL winner for toss since 2017).
