ภัทร หนุ่มทะเล้น กากเกรียน และ ปราณ หนุ่มเนี้ยบ มาดคุณชาย ผู้ที่ถูกฟ้าลิขิตให้เป็นศัตรูกันตั้งแต่ยังไม่เห็นหน้า เพราะพ่อแม่เปิดร้านอุปกรณ์ก่อสร้างอยู่ข้างกัน แข่งกันตัดราคา แย่งลูกน้อง เกลียดกันชนิดไม่เผาผี ทำให้ทั้งคู่ถูกวางตัวเป็นคู่แข่งกันตั้งแต่เกิด ไม่ว่าใครคลานได้ก่อน เดินได้ก่อน เรียกพ่อแม่ได้ก่อน ทุกอย่างล้วนถูกเอามาเปรียบเทียบเกทับกัน
แต่วันหนึ่งตอนที่ทั้งคู่อายุ 12 ปี กำแพงความเกลียดชังของทั้งคู่ก็เริ่มมีรอยร้าว เมื่อ ภา น้องสาวของภัทรขี่จักรยานพลัดตกน้ำในคลองหมู่บ้าน ระหว่างที่ภัทรยังทำอะไรไม่ถูก เป็นปราณที่กระโจนลงน้ำไปช่วยภาขึ้นมา เหตุการณ์นั้นก็ทำให้ความสัมพันธ์ของคนทั้งคู่เปลี่ยนไป แม้ภายนอกจะดูเป็นคู่แข่งกันเหมือนเดิม แต่ลึกๆ ข้างในก็ไม่เกลียดชังกันเท่าเดิม
จน ม.3 อาจารย์ให้ทั้งคู่ฟอร์มวงดนตรีด้วยกัน ทำให้ทั้งคู่ต้องใกล้ชิดกันมากขึ้น
4 ปีต่อมา โชคชะตาก็เล่นตลกเมื่อส่งให้ ภัทร เข้าเรียนปี1 เป็นประธานรุ่นฝั่งวิศวะ ขณะที่ ปราณ เป็นประธานรุ่นคณะสถาปัตย์ โดยที่ทั้ง 2 คณะเป็นคู่แค้นกันมานาน ทำให้ภัทรและปราณต้องกลับมาตีกันอีกครั้ง เมื่อภารู้เรื่อง ก็วีนแตก ยื่นคำขาดห้ามภัทรทำร้ายปราณเด็ดขาด เพราะบุญคุณที่เคยช่วยไว้ ทำให้ภัทรไปขอทำข้อตกลงกับปราณว่าจะแอบแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล เพื่อหาทางหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ให้ทั้ง 2 คณะทะเลาะกัน ปราณเองก็ไม่ชอบมีเรื่องเลยยอมตกลง
ทำให้ทั้งคู่เริ่ม “ความสัมพันธ์แบบลับๆ” ที่จะเป็นเพื่อนก็ไม่ใช่ ศัตรูก็ไม่เชิง แต่บันเทิงใจคนดู
สุดท้ายแล้วมิตรภาพบนความขัดแย้งของภัทรและปราณจะไปสิ้นสุดที่ตรงไหน ความลับจะแตกลงเมื่อไหร่ พ่อแม่จะยอมรับหรือไม่ หรือสุดท้ายจะมีวันที่ความขัดแย้งคลี่คลายหรือไม่

Can we please also talk about consent?! Pat asked whether he could kiss pran and when he said no, Pat didn't make a move, not even when he probably knows that pran was OK kissing him. Pat waited. And pran was completely comfortable saying no and KNOWING that Pat will respect him. PATPRAN=HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP

@@karinaslays9425I agree with you the very first scene where they fought unnecessarily was kind of cringe... it's mainly the fighting scenes I mean the fighting is realistic but the reasons aren't 💀 but as the episodes their acting seems so good and natural, most of the time bl actors lack acting which is very hard to watch but overall this drama isn't cringe.

Am I the only one who keeps re-watching some episodes in this series even if it twice a month 😂this part 1:58 until 2:01 the way Pat was just looking at Pran with so much admiration 😌14:28 pran sniffing Pat's shoulder and here 14:34 the sound of the back kiss Pran gave Pat, and when pran asked pat was I good and pat showed him he got 10/10 the smile that pran dropped that was amazing he was so proud of him self and to think this was purely magic for them because it was their first time with each other doing it 16:46 that forehead kiss😌. 20 January 2024 came back again 😭💀.

I thought they would be switched from the beginning from the way P'aof portrayed their characters but their first time maybe Pat would top (because of the novel) but this was unexpected from me because I have read the novel and thought maybe something like that will happen. I love them either way and am open and acceptable to any idea. This was such a sweet moment anyway.

That morning scene where Pran is spooing Pat and then gently kisses the back of his neck and his shoulders. THAT LITTLE EXCHANGE IS SO GENTLE AND ENDEARING!! They are conveying so much more in the little details and little actions instead of relying everything on the script. I love how both Ohm & Nanon shows and tell instead of just telling all the way.

I cried when they kissed. They really had to go through a lot to be together. That kiss was magical; it was full of unbridled love, longing, passion and heat. Unlike the rooftop kiss, which was all about finally confirming their feelings for each other and sheer desperation, the kiss here feels mature, patient and comforting...like this big, warm embrace. This kiss says 'hey, I have you, and I am not going anywhere. I love you. I am in love with you.' I can't get over PatPran. Their versatility in bed is just a cherry on top of their healthy relationship.

Bad Buddy is the kind of series you can rewatch multiple times because it has the right amount of sweetness, comedy, and angst. The characters are alive and feel like real people. The scenes are simple but it became extraordinary with their acting + script, and I think that's one of the main strength of this series. Ohmnanon, P'aof and the team are so awesome for taking this series on another level ❤️

This guy Nanon is a great deal in conveying his 'Pran' character who's truly falling in love with Pat both emotionally and physically. The way Pran touches Pat is very subtle and intimate. When they kissed, Pran opened his eyes and looked at Pat's eyes and face. It's easier to kiss somebody or anybody with eyes closed. When Nanon opened his eyes before the end of the kiss, he totally become Pran. Edit: Guys, thank you for the likes, you guys are amazing. Let's hope they will give us Bad Buddy Season 2!!!!! I MISS THEM GUYSSSS!!!! IS it too much to ask for season 2????

THAT'S WHAT YOU CALL A KISS!! No pecking like birds, no smacking like rocks, no haphazardly positioned lips, JUST A PURELY WELL FIT KISS. You have no idea how unbelievably satisfying it is tp finally watch a proper kiss. Great kiss scenes like this is rare in a Thai BL series. When they first kissed on EP 5 I was so happy and seeing them kissing so good consistently made me SATISFIED AF! Love it!

Another series added to my list of shows to show my future husband before we get married so that he can learn a thing or two about healthy relationships and how to treat ur significant other right. What is the point of marrying if my husband doesn't treat me the way PatPran treat each other. The other shows in the list are Lovely Writer, The Untamed and Oxygen lol.

I agree with you!!! I never saw such a healthy couple on screen before! They listen to each other, communicate their problems or feelings, and they trust each other. It sounds so easy, but in reality people forget this very fast. They set an example on what a healthy relationship looks like. This show is a lesson and reminder to us all.

I like how this show denies typical stereotypes that BL social media popularized - that one character always HAS to be top and the other to be naturally bottom. I felt that switch energy from them ever since the episode 1 but honestly I've been ready for typical "k, let's make the shorter and less bulky one an ultimate bottom bc that's what an average yaoist wants". So happy it's not what happened tho! ❤️ Not gonna lie, it's one of the best BL titles I've watched/read and I think that after I finish I may try to read the source! All the best for the stuff, author and amazing actors who just make me feel like all of what we see happens is real!

You need consent for sex etc,, but often the other party just approach to see if they are interested, not necessarily ask directly: "Can we have sex?". If the other one is not interested in it, they would drop it of course. I would be tired hearing my bf asking my consent for every kiss except in the beginning of a relationship. Then it's needed. I guess Pat and Pran are still in the beginning. We haven't seen many kisses, but I assume in the story they would have already kissed a lot.

I know they're fictional characters but the immense courage they show through their characters to stand up to what you believe in and take that leap of faith is so damn real. Pat shined so brightly on today's episode, I love his character! He's so selfless in love and he gives courage to Pran to take chances and chase what he wants. He is open and raw and he has no filter, every passing moment I can't help but fall for Pat. Ohm literally nailed his character! I can't describe how proud I am of OhmNan, Bad Buddy defies the usual BL stereotypes out there, the plot may seem predictable and cliche, but this cliche is done right, it gives us twists and surprises along the way, the simplicity is extraordinary which makes this different from the others, the acting and the storytelling is brilliant. I dunno if we'll get a S2 or if we even see OhmNan as a pair again, but I'd say they're definitely leaving their footprint in BLs with Bad Buddy. They've created a new standard for new BL couples and Bad Buddy has shown a different way of Storytelling in BLs. This series has just become the game-changer in BLs for more realistic and non-cringey acting and plot. I hope the Bad Buddy cast & crew would get the recognition they deserve in this year's award ceremonies! This whole production is just brilliant!

God, this is just a huge example of how different their personalities are! Even though he said in the preview that he knew they would have to go back, it really seems like Pat is ready to throw their old lives away and start fresh where they can be happy. But Pran is hesitant and homesick, thinking about the long-term implications of leaving everything they've ever known. Smug and slightly embarrassed Pran after Pat gives him a ten is so cute!!! It looked for a second like Pat really thought that Pran left after they slept together. They did the same little fake-out in Skam.

It’s funny how it’s impossible for some people to wrap their heads around the fact that Pat and Pran don’t have fixed positions in bed. you want their parent to accept their relationship, but why some of you can't accept that they change roles. It’s so common and I love the way they portrait it. And bottom Pat is hot as hell and pran top hot as hell switching for lgbtq+ especially gay couples in real life is so normal GROW THE FUCK UP! i love this serie so much to give us a real healthy relationship and break all the stereotypes

I like how they (finally!) show us a sex-wise verse/switch couple in a healthy, communicative and mutually appreciative relationship full of caring reciprocity and emphathetic and logical compromises. Pat was topping since ep 8, this is Pran’s 1st time topping, hence his question: “Was I good?” This and lots of other trope-defying BBS stuff ventures into realities of actual gay relationships. Before in BLs it was mostly heteronormative narrative imposed on same-sex relationships. Now - a fujoshi/fudanshi fantasy crossing over into a more realistic queer representation in Thailand. Temporary and mutually agreed “break-up” (sort of, but not really😉) to appease and reconcile the families and eliminate obstacles is just a voluntary way of losing 1 battle to ultimately win the entire war for their eternal love and being together with full acceptance from the most important people in their lives.

There are many implicit indications and allusions to them having sex (like post-match “I need my reward”, “oy, Pat, give me a break (and get off me)”). Korn DOESN’T need to know it, its personal and it’s betweed Pat and Pran only. Pran’s request for rating his topping prowess was a direct allusion to that. “This time is my turn” says it all. Also, Pat hasn’t “tasted” Pran being inside of him as is evidenced by the sea-weed snack scene. Pat being the first to top is from the novel to appease the “crazy-canon-obsessed” novel fans, but aof is making them verse/switch couple in the end. I love it! After SunMork from DBK (aof directed btw) they are the second major verse couple in thai bls. Was Fighter Tutor switches, too. Never finished that messy BL but the verse vibe was there, too. Aof and production team acknowledged that they have been having sex long before the beach bed scene. This is a realistic bl afterall, two 19 yo guys in love sleeping in the same bed for months, come on! :-)

OMG RIGHT?! this series is so comforting and it's is such a major development in BL series, because it represents the queer community in a healthy way! this is literally my comfort series because not only it represents the community in a good way, it also promotes a healthy relationship. Like, we can feel that PatPran are just two people in love with each other who struggle together yet they resolve things together as well. Like, what's not to love? even the InkPaa storyline is healthy and interesting as well for a side story.

Everyone was like I can’t wait for Bad Buddy and Bad Buddy this, Bad Buddy that. I seen Nanon before but never watched a series with him. I didn’t know who Ohm was. So I just said oh well another series to watch. I went from being another series to watch to having an obsession with this series. It’s way beyond anything I expected. It's not Inexplicable.. It's talent. Talented actors, scriptwriters, directors and all. They are all talented. Ohm and Nanon as a team is a new Steamboat just rolling down the river with such ease.. and the fact that Pat and Pran does not fit the norm of a Y'series is also the reason why I love this series. Neither lead is made overly smol or being overly feminized to fit some mad fantasy-criteria that, frankly Heterosexuals the Gay out of the whole story...! Two Young men in love. That's it. Utter chemistry. It's got that NATURAL Balance between two people that I absolutely Love to watch. It's not stereotypical, it's just normal. And I thank the entire cast and crew for this ❤

PranPat is one of the modt healthy relationships I’ve ever seen, not only in the thai bl world or bl world in general, but in media, because of key details, from evident to delicate: the CONSENT !!!!! (always respecting their space, asking before smth, etc) the COMMUNICATION (talking about feelings, what botters them or makes them uncomfortable, etc), the small touches of comfort (ex to calm anxiety or nervousness, or to show love and care like in bed the caress), the pillowtalk in the morning after talking about SXLIFE which is so important for a healthy relationship (likes and dislikes, comfort and not quite, what was good, etc). We need more queer rep like this, and relationship representation overall, because this is what we all should aspire to have, these are good standards. Everything had to be based on respect and PranPat have that. To the writers, director, prod team, and actors, you’ve probably heard this a lot and ik im quite late but thank you. This portrayal is so incredibly needed, thank you a more than a million times.

Ohm and Nanon did a justice with an amazing perfomances followed by the genius script and well-handed by a great director. I’ve been saying this a month ago but I wanted to says again that this series happened to be a cliche and mainstream plot, but the way they executed this into something like a fresh air was perfect. P’Aof made it more specific, warm, intense and making us can feel it too. I’m even lost my words to appreciate this.

I'm glad that there isn't a sex or "heavy petting" scene included in this series. Like, the audience knows that Pat and Pran are "together," but the act itself happens behind closed doors. I find that very charming. I (personally) would have felt like an intruder if I saw them getting hot and heavy. I know a lot of people watch BLs for the intimate scenes and they assume they know which role each partner will take on in the bedroom. I think the fact that the show skips over it and focuses on the afterglow sends a great message: Sex is a private moment and it ISN'T ANYONE ELSE'S BUSINESS WHAT PEOPLE DO TO EACH OTHER IN THAT MOMENT!

oh yeah I'm so glad P'Aof the director decided to skip those intimate scenes. I mean after all it's meant to be PG-13 , but also those steamy scenes would diminish the beautiful emotional buildup from the last couple episodes. And i think the director wants to take a dig at stereotypes of intimate roles. Kudos to the team 🙏 And i don't know about you but honestly, the afterglow really hits me as the quiet joy in the morning after was so beautifully and tenderly portrayed. I think that's the higher art and even more challenging to play out in front of their audience. And c'mon some stuff is best left to the imagination, and I'm sure the BL fans have no shortage of that 😅

Agree on no heavy petting/hot and heavy scenes. Instead P'Aof gave us a beautiful morning after scene. Pran's loving look and kiss on Pat's forehead were precious and so natural. Then that scene where Pat was standing at the balcony and seeing Pran turn around to look and smile at him. I can see and feel what they were thinking and feeling at the time - how happy they can be if they stay together.

When Nanon said 'Was I good?' I literally LIKE LITERALLY just shouted 'Bit*h' so loud my dad nearly heard it 😭😭😭 what was I supposed to do it has become a habit when I feel butterflies in my stomach. Also never have I cried for each kissing scene in a BL series before, IDK what spell the PatPran chemistry casts on me but it legit makes me cry each kiss scene they do. Be it the setting, the bg music whatevs I atleast shed a single tear. This is that one series that I never thought would turn out THIS GOOD that it makes me squeal, chuckle, cry and feel all the other emotions. Hats off the best BL couple. 😭 brb still crying

It’s small but at least for me it has a huge impact seeing that they all but explicitly stated that, Pat was the bottom. Not only did they correct the misconception that the more dominant/masculine guy can’t be the bottom, but by doing this they also very subtlety showed that personality has no bearings on position in the bedroom. I might be giving them too much credit, but this BL is on another level. It truly makes me excited about GMMTVs future BL projects.

ngl the actors in this series have superb, not awkward acting skills and really good chemistry - things you don't often see or feel on other bl series maybe that's why im still watching until ep 11 (i really stop watching other series after the first ep if the acting is cringey im sorry ㅠㅠ) and that's why this series has set the standard high 🙌

You all are wondering about sex and position but the permission to kiss was actually permission to top in this story in a subtle way. When Pat asked for permission, Pran said no and it's his turn now. And The steamy kiss followed by their sleeping position and Pran asking if he did it good, Pat giving him full marks all indicate this. So Pat already opened the deal and now Pran done his turn.

Im one of the people who guess that Pat is the Top, maybe bcoz he's more outspoken, brusque, assertive, I mean Pran can also decide, Pat respect his opinion, but I see Pran as more of a thinker, planner, more organize like a Mom, and Im sorry if this mean being prejudice...
