Fried Dough Sticks are expensive in Australia. It's A$2 (HK$10) a pair. My family loves it and now that the coronavirus is here, it is almost risking our lives to go and get it! Now that we are in lockdown, I decided to give it a try. I made the dough last night and fried it today. It turned out so well, except my two sticks got separated (maybe I pressed too hard?). Such an easy recipe and so much cheaper. It does take time but it's worth it. I don't need to buy this anymore! Thank you once again! Do you have a recipe for 牛脷酥?

How come you written down baking Soda was 1.5 tsp, actually you said was 1/2 (half ) tsp. Ie 3 times more when compared with your recipe, So, after I done, was failed ):

I tired the recipe but it is sticky when I roll it on the board. It also stick on the rolling pin. May I know what is wrong? I had followed all of the measurements but due to it stick on my hand when kneading I had to add additional flour. After frying it I can see it is dense not fluffy.
