You're not too far off actually. "Gan" 干 or dry is more commonly used to describe someone who's not in a relationship and really, really wants a girlfriend/boyfriend. Either that or, they are in a relationship but having a dry spell. The usual word for "horny" is "好色 (hao se)", though I don't see why someone can't be "too dry" (tai gan le) and hence is now feeling very horny! Yup, thirsty is "ke" 渴. Chinese is so full of double entendres (same as English of course!) I sometimes have to deliberate on whether or not I should use a more suggestive word like "sleep with" instead of the more neutral "room with" when I encounter the phrase "我跟你睡" （wo gen ni shui - literally: I'll sleep with you)

Oooh hao se is a new word that will go to my perv dictionary. :P I guess 'sleep with' is used even in English, eg 'I'll sleep with you' (the pure, innocent form) though it does border on the very suggestive side. I guess English uses phrases like 'Let's go to sleep' to mean the same. Perhaps 'wo gen ni shui' is one of those phrases that is hard to translate due to the differences in connotation in both cultures. Like in the chinese culture, that phrase doesn't make you think twice but uttering it around more western people, they'll raise eyebrows at you. hahaha Thanks for the reply though! It helps a lot!
