I'm crying too...I can't believe he's not here anymore. He was always so kind. His supportive and warm personality is why he was my bias ever since the first video I saw of shinee. In his last letter, he said that the celebrity life wasn't for him. I wish we saw how much pain he was in. I wish we could've helped him. He deserved the world. We love you Jonghyun. I think them being honest and frank with each other is one of the reasons why they've stayed together for so long and are close. There is no faking in the group. They have a real relationship based on honesty and trust.
I love how SHINee are very frank with each other and don't try to sugarcoat things. The disbanding questioning from the radio dj was kinda weird though... like even if theoretically things weren't going well (which fortunately they are) of course they're not going to say that they have plans on disbanding especially when they're in the middle of promotions as 5???
I agree he Seokjin was a little weird, bu he is weird xD hahaha no, but SHINee is known to have been going the same since debut, never lost a member, not really any scandals and always been popular from debut.... So I guess Seokjin was curious about if things will keep goin on this bright path??
It's honestly not that weird seeing as most kpop groups disband around year 5. They (and other groups past this mark) haven't gotten this question a lot.
i think it makes sense actually because quite a few groups from around the time they debuted have been disbanding. i do think it's a pointless question though because it's clear how much they communicate with each other and how much like a family they are.
Jonghyun is so compassionate and filled with love. The fact that he would not be SHINee again if it wasn’t the same members shows how close they are. And he is right, SHINee would not be SHINee without the 5 of them only. And the fact that he never thought about breaking up also warms my heart. Although he physically left us, he will forever be in your hearts and SHINee will also be 5. I’ve been there with them since day one of debut till today and forever. My life during my HS years was heavily shaped and inspired by SHINee.

Sadly, due to the amount of awful people and terrible professional he found... he felt like he could not heal himself.... We don't deserve someone so pure and wise like Jonghyun. All he did in his life was to give light and love with his art and talent.

However unfortunately mental health problems aren't really treated well if at all in most East Asian countries, south Korea included, people don't really know how to support someone through that and he did get the help he needed.
What makes them a great group is that they know that they are in a business and that they must put their business first before themselves. This system works well for them that you can never see them slack off in whatever it is they do even when they get the short end of the stick.They kept on improving and improving all through these years. The fact that there are also just five of them in the group makes it easier for their handlers and Onew to manage them so they shine individually without sacrificing the image harmony of the group. They are also very honest but are discreet with their actions being very careful not to cause scandals. They may nt be SM's best selling artists but as a group they are the best in many aspects such as their overall artistry and CD perfection live singing while doing difficult choreographies. I have nothing but admiration for the group.
Yes you are right they actually were able to adjust them selves and not to cross each other boundaries and not to revealing each other secrets to the media like what super junior members used to do and they have a very good team work every one would cover for the other that is why they lasted for such a long time
@@aa-cx8wb What I have learned to admire about them is that their artistry and being honest to that and their development has allowed them to excel in more ways than one. I see how they have trully become multi-talents and owning their spaces 100% while being a Shinee family. Their longevity will be that...not that selling at #1 isnt important, but think being seen as experimental has given them more freedom than most Kpop groups as they try new things and learn new things all the time. I love SHINee relationship and how they managed to stay together for so long...I hope new groups that I stan can look up to them and last that long as well too...and yes I know it's groups that older than them but some of their members have decided to leave their group...SHINee Together FOREVER!!!!
Jonghyun is so kind and considerate - he tried not to embarrass and tried to protect their manager when taemin said that he is single since birth. I miss him..

With his innate and immense talent, we know Jonghyun can go solo from the time of their debut and be successful, so him saying with conviction that he'd never thought about disbanding is impressive. He had a taste of success with his solo album and he was not blinded with the temptation that he can be on his own now, he's rooted to Shinee, apparently.
Am I the only one who got teary eyes when they started talking about disbanding and stuff? Like as a Shawol for 3yrs-ish, ofc Ik that they're not that "kind" of group but still, in this kind of industry, u just never know. I like how the members answer the question about it, they're not sugarcoating their answer, i.e. saying cliché stuff, but proving how strong their relationship is and doing the most important thing, communication.

Shinee has always stood out to me as having a unique dynamic. At first I thought it was a little strange but I've grown to truly appreciate it. They seem to have a genuine and mature respect for one another. And really see each other as equals. It's admirable.

I have checked lots of SHINee clips and I really think that the depression got to him the last two three years. In earlier shows you could see he enjoyed doing them and he looked like he enjoyed himself but the more recent ones he looks so hollow and serious in them. Sad that no one noticed this chance. Sad that he had to go the way he did, if only he'd known that there was a way to conquer depression and that wasn't in depending on others but understanding that it's you who has to do it on your own. I'm speaking from experience. I've also always depended on others to help me through my depression but Ive learned that the only way to conquer it is by doing it yourself and knowing that relying on others will only make u dissapointed even more. It's really sad, I can't imagine how the members are feeling now. I can't imagine a smile upon their faces anymore.
I keep thinking about the other members too ....i feel like minho and taemin will be especially hollow for a long time....i feel like the spark in their eyes will disappear...its not like jonghyun died naturally too...he committed suicide took his own life in sadness...there is no way the members will be normal from now on its so sad :(

I wish Jonghyun would have realised what kind of impact his existence had for the others. I guess he depended too much on others to bring him out of his depression and I guess that was his downfall :(
i think the reason i keep thinking about minho/taemin more is because key/onew already expressed themselves online in a way it was comforting? but taemin seemed soo angry at the funeral and minho is terrible at expressing his emotions + type to blame himself so i worry about him a lot...i heard he went to filming the rest of his movie but im not ready to see pictures of him tbh

But that's the problem with people who have depression. They feel they need to handle everything on their own so they don't become a burden to those they love. It does help if someone is there to listen to them or just there so they know they are not alone. If you have been a long time fan of SHINee you would know Jonghyun never hid his depression from the fans and the general public. In fact, it's also known that Onew has depression too. If anyone understood Jonghyun the most, it's his leader. Because he knew what Jonghyun was going through, he took the news of his passing the hardest out of the whole group. The other 4 are noticeably affected too. How could they not be? That's their brother and band mate. Depression is not the same for everyone. Some can fight and help themselves out of their mental stress but some can't do it any longer. They just want the pain and emptiness to end. This was the case with Jonghyun. What you said about trying to help themselves out of it can only do so much. If there is no therapy or understanding from others, how can they have the will to live on? What you said is not that simple for everyone to grasp. You need to learn that yourself.
