💬Plot summary:
Chic editor Lu Xingcheng has a haughty personality and a sharp tongue. In the fashion world, he is a legendary figure and famous for being lucky. Tong Xiaoyou is an unknown designer who is unlucky in everything that she does. An accident causes their lucks to be interchanged and their lives take a drastic turn. As Tong Xiaoyou gets to know Lu Xingcheng, she gradually learns about his hidden past and discovers a man who yearns for family despite his arrogant facade. I understand how she got that scar, but it's wrong to hold it over his head! If I saw a room on fire and knew someone was in there, friend or stranger; if I thought I could save them I would. I'd never hold it over their head when it was MY choice to save that person! I'm sorry for her scar, but he's doing all possible to help her.

I usually have a 16 episode patience limit, maybe 18 to 20 if it’s really good. But I was all in for the entire 34 episodes. This was so good; not a boring episode in the bunch. I certainly enjoyed the lead couple in every scene, especially Jerry. His expressions, his eyes told the story of his inner emotions, and his voice soothed me for 34 episodes. I want to see more of him.

The actor who plays Lu Ren is amazing. that look he gave when Xing Cheng called him dad was heartbreaking. I think that look showed the remorse he felt about missing out on his sons life.not that I feel bad for him but I hope him Xing Cheng and Yanzhi can be at least cordial to each other.

I loved the look on Lu Ren's face when Xiencheng called him Dad for the very first time and then took the coffee off him. I had a lump in my throat but I could not help but smile. This is such a good drama I will be sorry when it ends.

Jerry Yan has done a brilliant job of portraying Lu Xingcheng. He's played him exactly according to the synopsis. He's displayed the character's strengths and flaws, and shown how he's dealt with external and internal conflict. Lu Xingcheng is a multidimensional character who has developed over the series. 👏👏

Jiang Yan reminds me of what Lord Krishna said 'karm karo fal ki ichchha mat karo' meaning do your deeds without expecting any result. She saved Lu Xingcheng's life but she was expecting something in return. If she kept her intentions pure and free of obsession, Karma would have helped her lead a good life.

My My My...So many revelations in this episode! When I saw Sarah Lin and then she apologized, I was like, "We accept your apology!!!" Xingcheng getting along with both his father and brother good now...smiles Everybody is learning except Jiang...wow...in disbelief. The more she is rejected the more devious she gets...my word. Same, I mean none of us liked Lu Ren because of Xingcheng and Yanzhi, but I liked that they smoothed that out, didn't mind that they smoothed out Sarah Lin either; but no Jian Yen, just send her back overseas, enough of her. All villains shouldn't be redeemed. It's not realistic... not everyone changes their evil ways in real life.

I like that it focuses on "effort more matter than luck" instead of luck swapping. But I think It has bad editing and skips scenes too much. Sometimes I feel like it discontinues.

It's too bad that they couldn't show that scene & it probably would of been too hard to show that w/this Drama not having much $ in their budget for that but I don't see how she only got her back burnt & no other parts of her body getting burnt unless like you said, she purposely schemed where to chose in getting her back specifically burnt. This drama is realistic to reality life it's very different from other dramas I've been watched before. First, I want to congratulate of course to all CYLS cast u did an amazing job especially to our ShenYue and Jerry Yan. All actors and actress are noticed as well. Second, congratulations to the writer & director of this drama👏👏👏 thumbs up 👍 this drama not good in acting matters only it's a good quality over all. i love and like the drama. it brings lots of moral values and lessons to learn about love for family, friends and career, faith, success, and envy. The timeless Jerry Yan once again proved his talent in acting as Lu Xingchen. Magaling talaga xa. Shen Yue turns to be a good actress. Lu Zhanze also capture my taste by being good too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏👏👏

Jiang Yan is crazier than I thought. I thought he directly caused her scar in a car accident, or spilling acid accidentally somehow, or some other active thing that caused her pain. I can't believe that he's been putting up with her for such a reason. You don't do something good to hold it against someone. She's literally holding her choice against his head, and guilting him. She's truly evil. I strongly believe her scar could've been healed a long time ago, kind of like with the kiss between LXC and TXY, once he held out he had something to keep her around, she's keeping that scar to keep him around. If she knew it wouldn't work she probably wouldn't have done what she did.

September 25, 2020 I get emotional in this episode especially when LXC call his father Pa, it feels so good, finally they get along well now. LXC please don't blame yourself, it's not your fault Jiang Yan rescue you because you are in danger, but it doesn't mean that you have to turn over yourself to her ok! Jiang Yan could have easily fix that scar of hers, she just choose not to bec she wants to bind LXC in guilt & responsibility thinking he would love her for this. 🙄 She knows deep inside she won’t get LXC in normal ways. Sorry girl, you lost in this one. Go LXC, choose love. Don’t be like your dad.

When I watch these situations on the series I often wonder how these girls/women do not understand that after 5-10 years, if he has not confessed yet, he probably will not, considering there is usually a women the male lead likes. I hope that makes sense.
