I keep coming back to this after nearly 5 years bc I'm as astonished as you are tbh. We been knew Chen is a vocal king, but I never expected Chanyeol to have this much control and vocal ability, as if he's been a singer his whole life

Chanyeol should stick to being a vocalist. it's a shame to see his soulful voice hides behind mediocre rapping. he'd make great vocal solo albums for sure.

@Diane Calicdan i still think chanyeol is a better vocalist than rapper. just a personal preference. never really found his rapping style interesting. the two maknaes, sehun and kai are yet to impress. the former appears a tad lazy somehow, i dont know.

For chen i heard that he himself didn't want to sue the haters (same situation as taeyong with his scandal). chanyeol scandal was about his personal life and the person who spread the rumor was his acquaintance so probably he wanted to deal with the metter his own way. We don't know what happen off camera between the artists and the agency so it's wrong to make too many assumptions and give ALL the fault to sm. They surely have part of the fault but the people who truly failed chen and chanyeol were their own fake fans who turned their backs at them and hated on them for bullshit. Exols themselves were the ones hating on them and that's what hurts the most. A part of this fandom was the one who truly hurted them. Exols failed to protect him because the haters were mostly exols.

+Some People I do too tbh. His tone is perfect with the sound of a guitar or a piano... In general I also prefer Chanyeol slow rap, it personnaly feels more like him. His part in promise is one of his best to date, along with his cover on sukira.

+Violet Lebouf Yeah both of them complete each other really well when it comes to performing. To be very honest, I absolutly love Chen voice but, despite knowing he has hands down the best technique in Exo, sometimes it feels like something is missing. In those moment it's really nice when Kyungsoo or Baekhyun are here to help balancing the whole thing. And now Im glad we also have Chanyeol to do so. His tone is really pleasing and his voice blend really well with Chen's :)
