I love a female lead who uses her brain and doesn’t pout, scream, trip/fall, whine, every few episodes! YES! So glad I found this drama series! The male lead is nice eye-candy too! ;)

@@swedishboo1985 I think it’s part of it is that she’s very intelligent and knows what’s going on, but the others don’t. She understands the evidence based on her observations but majority don’t like with the wood. It wasn’t enough to convince others, even though the officer or who ever he is, is apart of the crime. It’s still not enough evidence to investigate or prove the officer is guilty. I think this is a flaw in many detective shows with a very intelligent main character. She’s also impulsive but that also ties in with her intelligent. These flaws, for me, are bearable and doesn’t stop me from enjoying the show. It just shows that she has flaws, but the male lead helps her. They complete each other and the chemistry is amazing. I’m loving it so far, and finally, a female lead with brains! She can also defend herself. This is very refreshing.

Everyone has that annoying side in them, no matter how smart and intelligent they are and no matter what job they do. There are a lot of things I like in this episode, it just further enhances and informs about the different characters. Su's intelligence and Pei's military background (love that he's humble about his victories, almost bashfull). I love the fact that the writers revisited the hightened sense of smell that Pei has, especially the moment where he smells Su again, you can see him consider the moment in the brothel (perhaps smelling a feminine smell from Su, but only thinking it's because he is in a room with more women, but now it is only her). And I love the fact that though the reason for coming is to investigate the case of the lost silver, now seeing the actual effect it has on the people they make sure they fix that also.

This drama is very good, I like the details of the director, the choices he or her made to tell the story. The kiss with only the sound of the water, the fights, the camera angles, the sound effects. Really good drama and the story is good too. I’m impressed.

Love the attention to detail, when he’s piggybacking her she places her arm against his back so she’s not pressing against him (and possibly revealing that she has breasts). Further goes to add to her meticulous and careful character. Also, for this drama I like that she’s smart and that’s her skill. She doesn’t have to be an excellent fighter and that’s not her skill. Her asset is her brains and attention to detail. The fact that he’s a highly trained military general balanced out the pairing.

I didn't realize that she was supposed to be a he. I just didn't see any signs of hiding the gender, and I was wondering why the cute guy kept calling him sir. I thought it was just poor translating from youtube. I think the title "Maiden..." threw me off guard.

Hmmm ..... The Prince likes Constable Su at first sight and flirts with ''him'' all the time without realizing he is a girl. What does that say of the Prince's orientation? A mistake made in all ''female disguises as male'' storylines. The male hero always flirts and likes the ''boy'' way before they realize that it is a disguise.
