First clip I've seen of her. Really refreshing honesty, feels so genuine and natural, and I have no reason to doubt she's telling the truth. Sometimes it's hard to tell the character from the real actress, but I think Matsuri is one and the same in moments like this.

I feel like chat and matsuri were talking about 2 different aspects of gay relationships there. Chat was like, “society makes gay relationships difficult-you can’t marry, there’s discrimination, etc” but Matsuri was more inward-focused like, “all relationships are difficult, right? Love isn’t exactly easy.” Both of them are right unfortunately. But as a gay person, hearing “isn’t that hard, 2 women together?” my mind immediately goes to the societal interpretation, because how can it not? It’s unfair, it shouldn’t be that way. I wonder if matsuri answered the way she did as a sort of pushback. When people say “but isn’t that hard” i feel like most of the time they’re actually trying to say “please be straight”. matsuri saying “at the end of the day love is the same” it pushes back against it. i’m not exactly closeted but seeing a vtuber as big as matsuri talk so freely about being lgbt is really inspiring to me. i hope more vtubers share their stories and reach more people because i think it would do a whole lot of good, especially considering the general attitude towards lgbt people in japan & most of the rest of asia

It's sad when female JP vtubers talk about wlw sexuality, the topic of "wouldn't that be difficult?" pops up at one point. I hope one day that question won't be all that serious, and a girl dating a girl can initially be seen as "aw they love each other" instead of "wouldn't that be hard to do tho?" Like the difficulty of the relationship overrules the love two people have for each other in the first place. Tomoe from Nijisanji talked about this once, saying something along the lines abt if you're bi, just aim for men if you want an easier life. I have my own ideas who Matsuri was seriously interest in when it comes to Hololive, but her principal of not dating co-workers makes it all useless anyway. Matsuri seems to generally lust after girls, but when it comes to romance I do see her specific type all the time. Just watch her play Idolmaster Shiny Colors and it all really falls into place. I'm looking forward to the day Matsuri will get some self-confidence and actually allow people into her comfort zone properly.

I don't think I would have any issues dating someone like Matsuri, as long as she was at least considerate/does not leave me on read. I play magic, so I am used to planning on playing for a few hours, then you look outside and it's dark, same with gaming, if my brain is fully distracted by something time can just get away from me. If my gf was playing games at a friends and it started to run long, as long as she calls/texts me so I know she is not dead/abducted by aliens, I would be fine with it. What matters most in life is communication; it can be a really pleasant relationship as long as you like being around each other and communicate honestly about things, stuff sorta just works itself out. Jealousy is just sorta dumb; why would someone get ticked off if they person they are dating has friends, or wants to go dancing, or all sorts of other activities I may not even be interested in? Maybe it's my meds talking but, as you get older physically/mentally you just sorta relax about all that stuff.
