I'm not sure if everyone started laughing because something like "I want to marry sugita-san" is a pretty embarrassing thing for him or because everyone thought that someone who wants to marry sugita-san must be joking, also that "Ehehehehe..." was adorable.
after watching this, imagine if Sugita got role as father type character who is really loves his daughter in dramatic way. IMO, his voice actually fit with that father type role.

its like this... if a guy/lady likes anime ( not a casual but kinda heavy one) but others at in your calss not like anime (riaju) its a hard life and most of the time u cant have normal conversation with other people except anime/manga stuff while others talk about sports/fashion hence u will be left out alone worst case u will be treated like wierdo.. but with seiyuu.. others who in the same business most definitely they also loves anime and shares the same interest so u can talk about it all day and they can do the same... just like how otaku just let loose every time theres some convention happen because everyone are the same and have common interest..
sometimes its also make u think "am i normal?" "will they make fun of me?" all that stuff running in your head.. even more so to japanese where most common stereotype of otaku is very bad like.. a shut in, unemployed, pervert etc.
Its pretty much most of asia where the concept of just lazing around watching japanese characters talk is something looked down upon as being lazy and that he/she isnt earning enough money to support himself/herself. Being in the industry makes it even worse as people think you are one of them and even making it more well-known by being famous yourself...

Misawa-san, let me be your friend!! (I understand so much the struggle o being bad making friends, glad or her she has Uesaka-san now). It feels kinda weird seeing Sugita-san without Nakamura-san... so they can actually stay away from each other.
