I finally managed to move my lazy ass to scavenge all the historical footage about the Saori Incident, where Matsuoka decided to call Oonishi Saori by her first name(last name in jp context) and caused a huge commotion across the entire industry. The video features all the stakeholders’ opinions/reactions. Hope you enjoy it.

"Urusai" in this context doesn't translate to 'annoying' but to 'loud'. She's asking if the others think she can't keep her cover coz she's so loud that she'd reveal her identity when others overhear her.

Logical, talking loud would blow her cover but even more I see it as her act of self-deprecation. Especially when you combine the reaction from the other two, you can see a nuanced annoyance Oonishi expressed in her being loud. ''Loud'' just seems superficial and doesn't sit right with me. I mean, if you literally tell someone to their face that you want to be called "Saori", why would you expect anything else other than them responding by doing exactly that? Why would that surprise you? That's not weird or unexpected, what's weird is you thinking that's unexpected. No matter how I look at it, Saorin is totally at fault here. :-P

Maybe Kayanon has already broken up with Matsuoka because she's tired of all his harem members flirting with him, sometimes right in front of her, and worst still she can't get mad because they are working together/etc. In that case, then, the Harem King would still be up for grabs!

She is still aggressively flirting with him and being very patient with his awkwardness, and meanwhile Kayanon is not going dere-dere like she used to in No Game No Life. Inorin is going to be working with Nobunaga in Osamake, and if she can win him on her side, maybe Nobunaga will finally pressure Matsuoka into proposing!

Don't worry guys. Matsuoka is improving in a lot of ways. The fact that he can joke about it is a good sign and he have a lot of colleagues on first name basis... Including Miporin. (Kayanon still is the last boss though). XD

"ridiculed" is a bit too strong, they just had fun with his seriousness, but i think in the end they respect that side of him. that's why in the end she said that she's fine if matsuoka calls her by her name, bc she knows that his intentions are always pure and respecful

I think this is partially exactly why he doesn't wanna call someone intimately. They insist he does it, but when he does he's somehow looked at with weird eyes. Not weird as in ridiculing but just acting in a surprised way, dumping a lot of that attention and curiosity on him, who doesn't want to be in the limelight to begin with.

I find funny, but after the explanation Matsuoka gave it in the video I started to understand a little better. Like, if you didn't called that person by her first name from the start and sundelly starts to, that indicates that something happened and made those two people to became more intimate. Just the especulation about this "something" is enough to make people go crazy. It literally could be the start of a romance/slice of life manga plot.

I've heard people saying that Kayano is the only one Matsuoka feels comfortable being open with (haven't actually seen their interactions myself). Tomatsu Haruka also commented that she ends up doing like 95% of the talking when she's with Kayano. Having seen the woman herself, I now find the reason dead obvious.

I know it's a traditional respect thing, but goddamn. They blow everything out of proportion when it comes to names. "He called her by her first name, they must be dating", like what? After so many years of working together, you should be able to call people by their first names. Again, I like the respect between senpai and kouhai but it shouldn't be that suffocating.
