Amazing how such a humble and kind person could play the roles of Daniel Plainview and Bill the Butcher that were completely different personalities. As if it was another person. True acting.

It’s quite clear that DDL uses up so much of himself with every role he plays…..In this interview , and in others I have seen, he parries questions about what he does between films…..we all wish he would play more roles but I suspect that the year he took to prepare for playing Lincoln required a year to recover…. Let him be…he has done so much more and given us all so much than so many with such relatively few roles.

Well I think she is ignorant and doesn't recognise him as the best actor in the world..., not because some excperts say so, but because even a moderated viewer of movies, who would have seen a couple of his movies, would have said..."Oh, he is a hell of an actor!" I am not an actor and I say he is the best one that I 've seen, past and present! She is a good actress, but a bad viewer of movies and that is unprofessional. I lost respect to her.
I never said she hates him. I just pointed out that you don't need to be professional or a hollywood member to know that he is THE method actor. Lots of people do. That has nothing to do with gossiping about actors. It is just a matter of personal information about movies and in general. But she said she never watches movies of the actors she plays with, as if this was nesecery in his case. She has good choices in movies, but till a few days ago she was considering method acting a circus and got tired about the way the film crue treated DDL. What can one say, if this is the best way he can pull out a performance? His work make it worth it, and then that is why he makes so few movies. Because this thing really tires him. He is a good and humble person outside that. And then she pulled out the "me too movement" card and she said that, if it was for a woman, nobody would have done the same. I doubt that they wouldn't do the same about Meril Streep too, except if she doesn't know Meril Streep either! She proved to be ignorant and arrogant at the same time, and she had so much time to inform herself. I hope this won't hurt her career, but I also hope this won;t hurt DDL reputation, because todays youtube chanels love to fill their shallow content with such twisting informations.
I think she recognizes that DDL doesn't feel that way about himself, is clearly a bit uncomfortable with that label (hence him laughing) and they're both just joking around. She obviously knows he is an incredibly talented actor.
@@CrashHoax I didn't write my comment based on that video. That video is fine. A few days before this came out, she had made some comments calling method acting a circus and that she was tired of the way the crue was treating DDL and that she felt promoting that movie next to him was a train wreck for her. She said nobody had told her before that he was the greatest actor in the world and that she never googles the work of the actors she works with, so she didn't know him and she didn't believed it. Then she said that, if it was for an actress nobody would have treated her this way. I just found her comments really ignorant and unprofessional. I like her as an actress. I just got dissapointed. My second comment was an answer to somebody else who has delayed his own.
