I don't have any specific knowledge of this project, but often with closure applications the machine will use a plunger style nozzle that fits inside the inlet component of the hot runner. The sprue break is used to help decompress the hot runner.
Hi Ken, thanks for your message. To clarify the video shows nozzle movement only to show cycle time according to Euromap 6 standards. I agree with you that the use of a shut of nozzle is recommended for this application.
