Funfact: the treadmill is actually on a special mount so it can change direction in a full circle. The keyboarder actually started the whole thing because he felt he was too awkward just standing at the keyboard and needed something to do :D I've seen them live this year and the treadmill actually malfunctioned. It was quite funny seeing him kinda walking on the spot but not really. He seemed a little lost standing still in one place.
Rammstein: the only band that is absolutely 100% sober during every concert due to health and safety. It's a miracle that the worst thing that has ever happened with their daring pyro shows is that the lead singer was run over by the keyboardist on a segway :D
They do have a pre show tradition of listening to Mexican mariachi and doing a shot of tequila in the dressing room before hitting the stage. But still not enough to get a German inebriated
@@mitchkramah You're allowed to drive here as long as you're not over 0.5 per mille of blood alcohol level, so performing with only one shot of tequila, which is defenitely under that bar, is absolutely still sober. It's less that they wouldn't want to drink too much its for insurence reasons and just common sense when operating all the pyro. For us fans that's great news at least because they're never gonna fall off stage inebriated or drugged out or just perform shittly which so many other musicians seem fond of doing.
Hello there. Here are some infos about the bandmembers: They were all born and raised in the GDR. The band formed in Berlin has the same lineup since 1994. Till Lindemann- vocalist and poet Richard Z. Kruspe- lead guitar Paul Landers- guitar Christoph Schneider- drums Oliver Riedel- bassist Christian Flake Lorenz- keyboard and author They originated from the punk scene in East Germany. Because they grew up in the GDR most of their lyrics are written in clauses and in a poetic style. Which makes it a lot of fun to think and discover what the content may really be about. You'll hear influences from "Kraftwerk" , "Depeche Mode" but they created a new music genre, which is called "dance metal". A lot of their lyrics address taboo topics in our western society, never judging, but brutal honest. The live shows are legendary and can very provocative. And resulted in arrest in the US one time. The official videos to their songs are artistic and mind blowing. And the life shows (as you saw) are phenomenal. With love from Germany🤘😎
Thank you so much for the info! I’ve only heard of them recently. This live show was verrrrry intriguing! I’m a 54yr old BTS Army but I will for sure be giving R some views!!!🥰👍🏻
@@armymomot7931 better late than never. It is getting even better when you can understand german and also get the old language, the adaption of classical lyrics and fairy tales, multi entendres, hidden meanings, word plays and well packed social or media criticism. You get their great effective music which also seem pretty simple but they really know how to write and arrange songs without getting boring. You get well produced and entertaining videos often with many details and deeper meanings. You get their stunning live shows with fire, pyrotechnics, perfect audio engineering and awesome lighting.
On a side note, lead singer Till Lindemann is a keen poet with several published books of poetry. So many of their songs lyrics often have a story or poetic lyrics with double meanings or symbolism to them. His father was also a poet and writer.
I'm so jealous of you having the opportunity to listen through Rammstein's discography for the first time! You've got basically 8 albums worth of songs to sift through. Among the quality of the music and vocals in general, I most appreciate the fact that while Rammstein has always had a consistent core sound (with certain trademark habits they use), there's a clear progression in their larger style from a more gritty and electronic sound to becoming more symphonic and grandiose. Some fans have a clear preference for earlier stuff or later stuff, and it'll be interesting to see which ones become your favorites. Very good reaction! Looking forward to seeing more. There's so many iconic songs to pick from that it's tough to recommend one, but given how many major ones came from their 3rd album, "Mutter (Mother)", it makes sense to suggest listening to the song "Sonne".
Much Love from Germany ❣️ 🇩🇪 ❣️ ... Till Lindemann (front singer) is a professionell Pyrotechnic! ... if you would like to see more epic Songs, you should listen to "Deutschland" including the official Video!!!❣️❣️❣️ It's amazing!!! Sorry, my english is not very good but I try my very best!!!
Isn't it completely normal for a keyboard player to play while walking on a treadmill, when everyone who has seen Rammstein's live video for the first time have amazed by it : ) Anyway, great reaction and hope to see more Rammstein on your channel soon.
Hello from germany 🙂 rammstein are one of the best live bands in the world. check out their performances at madison square garden or their performances in paris. start with : Rammstein: Paris - Du Hast ( Official Video ) you will love this band 👍
Wherever Rammstein performs in the world, fans can sing along with the German lyrics. Even in France. The band is known for its sensational live performances. The song singer, Till Lindemann, is a trained pyrotechnician and uses his knowledge a lot during the shows. What you might think is blood on his arm is a protective gel against the flames. Fun fact: The keyboardist runs on a treadmill and covers about 16 miles during a concert. 😁😁😁😁😁
Best live band in the world by far and in these days the greatest show on the road. Rammstein is one of the most famous metal bands and are living legends with the same line-up for nearly 30 years. They are a german band and are considered the best live band in the world, especially when it comes to showmenship, pyro and fire. Above all, Rammstein uses pyro quite differently than all other bands. Rammstein's music is a mixture of techno (electronic music) and metal (= industrial metal), although Rammsteins origins are in punk music. Rammstein concerts are a life time experience that you will never forget. Their videos are art but also often controversial. Rammstein also refers to classical German literature, e.g. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's. Several of their songs are related to controversial and taboo subjects such as sadomasochism, homosexuality, intersexuality, incest, pedophilia, necrophilia, cannibalism, pyromania, religion and sexual violence. Also several of their songs are allegedly inspired by real-life events or politics. Rammstein lyrics are very deep and are also often used in school and universities around the world to learn German. There are people who learn German only because of Rammstein. Rammstein fans are considered to be the craziest and most fanatical fans in the world. In concerts from the hardcore fans all over the world it is expected that you can sing along with the German lyrics even if you don't speak German.
You should see the singer singing on stage standing in flames for three minutes. But you have to watch the older concerts. He stopped doing that because it was too scary for the audience. PS: The song is called Rammstein like the band and is about a tragic disaster that really happened.
The lead singer's shyness is a large part of why they have such great pryo. He became an expert because he felt uncomfortable just standing on stage for the parts where he doesn't sing. I imagine he's over it by now, but we alllll get to benefit :D
@@annegretkasten6277 dancing on a stage during a metal show is really not something musicians do unless the band is called Babymetal. And there just the girls do the dancing the band is doing normal metal band stuff
It fits the song very well, but to be fair, I don't think Till can do much more than stand there stoically with the wings on his back. They weigh 50 kg, which is 110 pounds, and imo you can really see in his posture how heavy they are. On later tours they changed it up a bit and made him hang from the ceiling, so he didn't have to carry the whole weight anymore.
Welcome to the Rammstein rabbit hole. I'm sorry (not sorry) because now you will get requests for probably every song they've ever made. Rammstein have made many reaction channels blow up in views for some time now. The only songs I recommend the videos over live performansens are probably Sonne, Mein Hertz Brennt, Deutschland, Zeit, Angst and Dicke Titten. Live I would recommend Ich Tu Dir Weh (from MSG), Mein Teil (from Hurricane Festival) and if you haven't reacted to it yet I would suggest Du Hast (from Paris). And yes, this is my favorite band, and yes, I will keep nagging you about it ;)
I went to see them for the first time this year in Cardiff. I'm just starting to come down from it now. I had back row nosebleed seats and could barely see anything, but it was honestly a life changing experience. I'm 50 years old and if I die tomorrow, I'll die knowing I saw the best performers on the planet deliver the best performance on the planet. The band is unbelievably tight, they are completely in tune with each other - even though they barely look at each other much less interact. They really are the very definition of professional artists. You deliver one of the better reactions I've seen, you don't do all the over the top personality bullshit. With that in mind, I'd encourage a bit of a deep dive into their music, because I really think you will enjoy the artistry of the band. I'd enjoy seeing your reaction to the official music video of Deutschland and I think that like most people, you will have to watch it a few times as well as watch a few analysis videos to really get how deep they go with just that one song. After that, watch anything you want, understanding that they go just as deep with all of their songs. They aren't just a band, they are artists, in every sense of the word. I'm honestly not just fangirling here. The performance they gave in Cardiff, combined with what I see of their official releases and the work they do, have honestly changed the way I present myself and my outlook on life.
Rammstein knows how to put on a show, and has elaborate sets. The one at this concert (Rammstein: Live at Madison Square Garden) changed at least 3 times during the show, and was followed up on the next tour, by another stage set that also changed as the concert progressed. Rammstein: Live at Paris is probably the least elaborate of the main stage sets, though there was a giant bridge set and island stage they performed on top of for part of that concert. The current concert stage is somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, but as with all Rammstein concerts, there is always tons of fire to be had. Those wings were more recently used in their Deutschland music video.
You like fire on stage? Look at Rammsteins live performances of Benzin, Ich tu Dir weh, Feuer frei, Mein Teil. Preferably the european ones, the US does not let them do all of it.... Enjoy! Oh and If you want the Performance they got arrested for in the US: Bück Dich live
This is the last song in Rammstein's main set. The wings weigh almost 47 pounds. There was a technical issue with one side of the wings during Flake's keyboard solo.
Hey I really enjoyed your reaction! There is so much great stuff of rammstein out there. Their official music videos are also great to watch for example Deutschland, Mein Herz brennt, Angst or Zeit. Rammstein is a very unique band. Often their topics are very deep and dark (wiener blut, mein teil, puppe), but sometimes they can also be hilarius funny ( Dicke Titten, Pussy, Mein Land ).
Gotcha. Welcome to the rabbit hole. I liked that you did appreciate almost every aspect: the whistling, how the band is engaging, Flake on his treadmill, Tills voice and performance and especially the lyrics. As an singer and performer yourself you might appreciate Till wearing these heavy wings at the end of the show and still delivering the song. You will get a lot of recommendations and I hope that you will continue and follow this path and explore the world as seen and created by Rammstein.
Oh, gosh, Rammstein have one of the most mind-blowing stages I've ever seen. I literally grew up with their music. Their Du Hast song was playing during every school party, lol. This is an iconic song for children of my generation. Rammstein, Nightwish, Evanescence and Linkin Park was music of our childhood. O strongly recommend you to check out Dir en grey (best performance for starter would be Vinushka Androgynous live from Kaya's channel). You'll love their theatrical attitude, I swear.
Hey a huge fan of Nightwish and our goddes Floor, rammstein is dope as hell, in Germany there’s like a little tv show called “Sing Meinen Song” and Floor play a song called Mauern with a Rammstein vibe which is dopeee
I recommend Rammlied and Ich Tu Dir Weh live from MSG. Mein Teil is also really good live (it is a good song normally but live it brings the whole stage production and presence). (re-reading this, it is hard to convey how much I am not saying to not react to it in text, it is just an important and personal song but you seem to respect lyrics and themes to songs anyway so I wouldn't even need to give you this message. I just see some reaction channels watch Deutschland and not give it the respect it deserves.) Many people will recommend many different songs but I do want to give a, not a warning but a note. Deutschland is a song that people would want you to watch the video for as there are not any official live versions anyway and the song is very symbolistic with the video adding to that. There is a lot of imagery and symbolism that relates to Germany (not just the WW2 Germany we know, but many points in her history) so be prepared to learn as many people will be happy to tell you about all the different points. It would also be interesting to hear how you understand the symbolism and what is shown without knowing everything about Germany's history.
In another section of a (this?) live performance, they trapped a harness on him and lifted him up. Oh, and Till, the singer here, is a professional pyrotech. Anything with fire, he made himself.
More reactions videos from Rammstein please.👋👍 Greetings from Germany. Rammstein - Du Hast (Live in Paris) Rammstein - Ich Tu Dir Weh (Live from Madison Square Garden) Rammstein - Zeit (Official Video) with English subtitles Rammstein - ANGST (Official Video) Rammstein - Dicke Titten (Official Video) really funny Rammstein - Seemann from 1995 Live + Video ( In this song He sings very high) Rammstein - Radio (Official Video) Rammstein - Rammlied (Live from Madison Square Garden) Rammstein - Mein Teil - (Live Hurricane Festival 2013)
The keyboardist is Flake (Flah-kuh) and he's the band's sense of humour in a lot of ways. The treadmill is quite common in live performances and he performs with a kind of mad puppet persona, and he also does a lot of skit segments during songs where there isn't a lot going on for keys. Usually he's the one to be tortured during their darker songs, like in a performance of Ich Tu Dir Weh (I think it's that song anyway) he gets into a bathtub, has a vat of lava/fireworks poured onto him, and emerges in a different outfit.
Than you might be used to it? Well, I was at their show in second row and I still have them. After this I was working on a film set, where we used pyro, I still have them. Maybe I am Satan's child or something. 👹
as someone who's loved Rammstein since I was 12 years old, I absolutely love watching Rammstein reaction videos to see that face of "I've never heard or seen anything like this before, it slaps so hard" and just getting hypnotized and head rocking... \m/
army and long time rammstein fan here, really been enjoying your channel lately 💜 thank you for your reactions been to rammstein concert this summer, the way their performances get better and better!! stage production, pyrotechnics, Till's voice, band -- it was another level show
the song singer till lindemann trained as a pyrotechnician so that they could perform these fire effects on stage. The band Rammstein is famous for their live shows with pyrotechnics. :) Please watch more videos of Rammstein then you will see it. And yes, the band still performs live to this day!
If you thought this production was great, you should definitely see one of the last tour, it's the best concert I've been to in a long time. It's my second concert of theirs.
Those wings weigh well over 100 lbs, the tubes are the fuel. He sounds a little out of breathe in the very beginning because he is. He's leaning forward to counterweight the wings and it pulls on his chest. Till also writes the lyrics and its like a dark poetry.
On par with his voice and lyrics, the best part of Till's performance, what is probably the secret to it, is he doesnt just "sing", he becomes the character in each of their songs. He acts it out on stage and their amazing props magnify his performance.
I saw them live for the first time in October. Hands down the best show I have ever been to. Lots of fire at their shows. They have some amazing songs. Engel,Sonne,Mein Herz Brennt and Feuer Frei are some of my favorite songs by them.
What the fuck just happened? ;) This is one of the best performance of Rammstein. I would like to suggest this one too ((Rammstein - Ich Tu Dir Weh (Live from Madison Square Garden)), because I believe that you'll get shocked too.
I'm usually around here for the BTS reactions but saw that you did Engel. Man what a nostalgia trip. Still a masterpiece in my 30s, when you listen to it on headphones you get those really cool undertones and bass
found this channel with the bts reactions BUT rammstein is my fav band ever. please do more reactions by them, the stage production on their latest tour is crazy, saw them last month and i swear i can still feel the heat of the fire everytime i listen to sonne
If you want to hear how special /versatile Till his voice is, you should listen to Ich Tu Dir Weh (Live from Madison Square Garden)my absolute favorite. Love your reaction
I saw them here in sweden at Ullevi, best show i have seen, rammstein knows how to put on a entertaining performance, if you have any chance to see them live before they retire, do it. The first thing they did to make the show feel industrial they used alot of fuel, diesel i think, just pitch black smoke from atop the scene, you could feel at that instant everyone just got drawn into the show. I looked at how much fuel for pyrotechnics they used during their shows, around 2000 liters of it. It was perfectly cool air in a open stadium, they used the pyros (4 towers in the crowd) and as soon as the towers spewed just one burst of flames, it got so hot, so even if you are far away from the scene, you will NOT miss out.
Rammstein has to be seen live, because they are a weapon there and the incredible crowd control is a trademark of them and no matter in which country they play, the audience sings in German like in Paris - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-U5HAEzEk8QM.html .🆒 The action with the fireworks did not even take place in a stadium but in a hall ( Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy) and would be unthinkable in e.g. America due to their immense safety regulations. If they go on tour there, the fans will miss a lot and will never get to see many really wicked effects! By the way Til does this specific move, called "Til Hammer" cause he had dislocated his knee before a concert and repeatedly hit it in the backstage area to bring it back in. The other band members found this movement totally cool so that he he adopted it for the stage ! Apart from the fact that Til is a trained pyrotechnician, at Rammstein concerts a special stage worker is very close to the stage and is connected by a microphone to the person who controls the fire. He feels the temperature on his cheek and gives corresponding instructions whether you can still step it up a notch or the flames have to be reduced. Another pure madness with with the audience - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fAaIFUXj4-8.html At another concert Til greets his band members, who are carried back to the main stage in a rubber dinghy with a "Welcome - Sign". A political statement for the refugees who have drowned by the thousands in the Mediterranean Sea. Please look at the live performance of "Ich will" - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zO2t3KQMPPY.html - (with subtitles) "Rock am Ring" is one of the biggest festival events in Germany. The Ring, which we say, is the legendary Formula 1 race track "Nürburgring"(The green hell), located in the middle of a central mountain of Germany, the "Volcano - Eifel". Rammstein was the Headliner and there are more than 85000 fans on the target line and I was right in the middle 😜 and not only the few thousand hardcore fans directly in front of the stage answer Til's questions, but actually the entire audience down to the last row and to have been there and to feel the concentrated energy of the audience was just indescribable ! At some point Ramstein discovered that you can make up with instant coffee. According to concentration, black to red spots appear, which looks like dirt or blood. Flake was hyper nervous all the time during an earlier tour. What did he forget ? That he was made up with lots of coffee in the evening during every concert - Maybe the reason why he needs a treadmill 😉 ? But without Flake Rammstein would never have been what they are. Again and again he is only moved into the nerd corner and underestimated enormously. What most people remember is only the treadmill he is running on while playing. Most of the Rammstein pieces are backed by a mostly inconspicuous but sometimes bombastically symphonic sound body combined with techno elements and so much more. It´s done so cleverly that it is hardly noticeable in the foreground. But if you take it out of the equation and mix it away at the mixer console, the rest sounds almost like any metal band. Together with the typical Rammstein monster guitar riffs the keyboards in the background fill up the entire sound, make things round, and not at least because of this Rammstein sounds so unique ! Please check it out - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IjGNTqAW58E.html - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jRxW5Vzeo0A.html (here you can see Til flying) Exactly this concert in Germany took place about 20 km from where I lived and you could still hear it over a hill in between and see the light show flickering in the distance. You could clearly experience the sound level at which Rammstein are traveling 💥🤯 This melodic sound together with the unbelieveble power that Rammstein brings over is also to be seen here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Uq41Fmw5CGI.html ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, this performance was nominated for the Grammy 👍 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qFpjMNKxsnA.html - The song is based on a true story that happened in Germany. A cannibale looked for someone on the Internet who could be eaten by him and also found someone. Just google "The Rothenburg Cannibal". Totally whacky. Richard Kruspe tells the story in an interview on the DVD "In Amerika" released in 2015. First the police arrested Paul Landers off the stage and then one by one, the sound became thinner and thinner as the other band members were arrestet and at some point he put his guitar down and turned himself to the cops. For Rammstein, who had come together in the former GDR, the left dictatorial eastern part of divided Germany, America was in their imagination the "land of unlimited possibilities" in which you can do pretty much anything. After a night in jail they know that it was a really stupid idea to perform anything like that in a big city in the "Bible Belt" - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pRXkDYTSAj4.html - 😱😉 In Germany, this kind of thing doesn't upset (almost) anyone anymore - we're a little more relaxed there. One of the best titles by Rammstein but not as well known is Donaukinder" - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Oi-ixUoWAOU.html - it´s underpinned by Franzisco Navarro with scenes from the film "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas". But be careful, because for those who have even dealt with the Holocaust a little, this is really hard stuff ! At first I was interested, then banned, then horrified and then there were only tears. As a German with a left-wing liberal background, I would have to hate the camp commandant, but otherwise he is also a father. However, someone who lets the children of others gasify without scruples. But something like this had to happen, I guess, so that he finally recognizes this absolutely inhuman madness and his constant self-deception ! "Wo sind die Kinder" - "Where are the children" alludes to the fact that in German death camps, women and children were gassed first so that no more Jews could grow up or be born. "Keiner weiß, was hier geschehen, keiner hat etwas gesehen" means "Nobody knows what happened here, nobody saw anything" refers to the fact that very few Germans wanted to have known about the concentration camps, which of course was complete nonsense. For example, thousands of apartments were suddenly vacant because the Jewish residents had been deported during the night. The very next day, "Aryan" Germans, mostly belonging to the party cadre, moved in. Then hundreds of civilian German guards were employed in the death camps, who were even proud of their "work" and bragged about it to their acquaintances and friends. I could give many more examples, which prove that it was total bullshit, when it was claimed not to have seen anything and not to know what was happening there. Rammstein pieces are pure energy and if one can keep his butt still while listening, you should see a doctor as soon as possible 🤣
Funny cause I came from your BTS reaction videos and then I saw you reacted to Rammstein. And since I‘m German, I needed to watch this. Even tho I‘m not a big fan of Rammstein. But it‘s just so interesting to see your reactions :D loved it
Been to Rammstein three times... each time bigger and better and badder than the one before. Even if you're not a fan of metal, if you are a listener and appreciator of any kind of music then you owe it to yourself to attend at least one show. You've never seen anything like it before, and you never will again afterwards... until you see them the next time. :) WrighteousJ: Ich Will, Sonne and Du Hast will get some heavy reaction requests, but check out Puppe for the most creatively twisted stage creation of this marvel of metal.
great reaction - I rediscovered this band. The whole concert at MSG is great - also their video-clips. Some look like Hollywood Movies. Look at "Zeit!" - this is great!!!
You’re doing Rammstein now!?!? 😮 I love them! Best band from Germany ever! I really like Till’s wordplay, he’s a genius, much as RM. My favourite groups so far are BTS, Rammstein and Nightwish! 😎. Great reactions, thank you!
