I can't remember for sure cuz i didn't care at the time. But their were some engineers from daimler that visited the fleet i worked for and did some study on the old style tensioner. For whatever reason, they changed it up after that study. Wish i had paid more attention to what was going on, but it's still interesting. Now they are different and come with those lovely pins. Alot of guys like to pin the new tensioner on a vise or something before it goes in. Makes easy to get on.

Thank you for the video, we followed instructions & installed one other day but tensioner shaking and vibration more then rest the engine parts not sure if that’s how this new design tensioner should be or something wrong 🤔

One question? I didn't see the other bearings like the one in the center above and the one next to the driver's seat that they changed? .it is not necessary to change them or is it???

Im shocked this worked for you because some engines with this tensioner it doesn’t work, apparently had to order a new bracket or something for the fan hub, i think there’s a couple papers that come in the box wit the new style tensioner about converting

My DD15 only squeals when I driving and pedaling the throttle - if its idling in neutral and I pedal it to rev up the R's it dosent squeal - What's the diff ?

This does not work for all DD15's. Did not fit mine in 2016 cascadia. Correct part for mine was Gates 38667. I do not know how to separate one from another, maybe Busted Knuckle can help us out on that. But do not make my mistake by purchasing this tensioner without proper research.

Just did this. New tensioner, belts and pulleys. One of the pulleys seized up and I put on a new pulley. New pulley seized up right away what could be the problem

Is this a special kind of pin , can you buy them or just find one that works

what if I replaced the belt tensioner both belts and its still squeaking
