Watched this as I’m going to change oil on my CX for the first time this week (I haven’t had it long). Thought it didn’t look right and that spring would push the filter away from sealing it. Thanks to the other comments, I’ll put my bike back together properly.
According to the service manual, the capacity of the oil system is 3 liters, with an oil change of 2.5 liters. I poured about 2.2 liters during my replacement.

Besides the wrong procedure of re-fitting the whole assembly something must be wrong with it, shouldn’t be that hard to remove the center bolt and also you didn’t inspect the o-rings (one for the bolt and the big one for the cover) for one dollar fifty more or les I always put new ones at every oil change, so your careless “tutorial” is not good
