The battery did encroach in the trunk a bit but the range is awesome and charging speed stellar. The screen is a reach but they designed the native menus as one row for easy navigation. I agree with your assessment for its position. For now I’ll have to settle for my affordable 2023 IONIQ 5. 👍🏼 10:22

The rubber seal seems to be uneven on the pilar above the seat belt

Surprising and not surprising. You said “next couple years” I.e. while the warranty is active and before it’s cleared 100k miles.

The floor is pushed up much higher in this car, and it's particularly noticeable in the rear seat. This causes your knees to be in an uncomfortable position not unlike in a smallish third row in an average sized three-row SUV

I rented a gas version in Toronto last week for 3 days and came away super impressed after about 500kms of driving. My daily is a Lexus GX and this was like a car versions updated with better interior and handling. Very comfortable but surprisingly sporty.

David, the design of the Genesis is beautiful, and looks like an extremely safe car. The interior is fabulous and the seats look extremely comfortable. Glad that Michelin tires are standard.

I believe liquid fueled cars will dominate for 25 more years; e.g. ammonia, hydrogen, gasoline blends, etc.

@@RayanMADAO the US doesn’t have the infrastructure to power cars for everyone that currently owns a gasoline powered car. Plus the majority of the electricity is generated by fossil fuel. That will accelerate climate change dramatically.

⁠@@bngr_bngrthe rate of adoption will be gradual enough that by the time it comes, infrastructure will be able to keep up. And remember that even in places where electricity is primarily generated by fossil fuels, the emissions generated by that will still be cleaner than if the vehicles it powers were emitting gas or diesel exhaust.
