Thanks Dave for the video. I had put deposits on Broncos in the past. The first I cancelled due to the delays. The second I cancelled because the dealership wouldn’t let me test drive their Bronco in fear of racking up miles. The manager soon called after I complained and apologized but that was enough not to continue with my deposit. Going to either buy the current Gen 4Runner or maybe wait for the next release. I wish Toyota would keep the V-6!
Scotty Kilmer said issues with the 2.7. Maybe a Federal recall in the works. Said problems with the valves. Cited an engine locking up with only 950 miles.
I would encourage you to look at the gap between the rear/cargo door and the drivers side rear fender (where the door closes towards the bottom). I have had 2 wildtrak broncos and both were off significantly. Great video!
I absolutely love driving the Bronco on the highway and in town. I had a big SUV and it was bulky and hard to turn The Bronco is quick and responsive and turns much easier than my Chevy Suburban.
I am also waiting for the new 4Runner. I hope my expectations are met with the new engine. I will buy a Bronco if Toyota falls short. Thank you for the walk around.
I can attest to the quality of the paint. I offroad mine every week in the forest. Afterwards I always wash and ceramic coat. The branch scratches are easy to remove and the truck still looks great.
David. Great review as always👍 Think Toyota notices that both of its competitors have removable tops and doors??? And both are more capable off road??? I love my ‘19 Pro but obviously both Ford and Jeep listens to their 4X4 customers more than Toyota. What do you think? Thanks again👍
I wish Toyota would do it but I doubt they will have removeable tops and doors. Wish they would do something like they did with the gen1 but I just don’t see it happening.
David, I had a couple questions. When a guy buys a new vehicle one of the first things we like to do is pop the hood to show the engine. With this new Bronco when you pop the hood it looks like a family of horders have taken up residence in there. Any reason the engineers didn't organize and clean up the engine bay? Second question, if off roading in freezing weather any danger when crossing a stream that freezing water would splash up on the turbos and cause thermal shock that would damage them?
Thanks David! Have you given up on the plan to buy the LR Defender? With all the markups, Bronco Badland is basically selling at the same price as a base Defender now. What is your take on that?
Seeing a new Bronco is like seeing a new Mustang... they look cool, but then suddenly they all disappear from the roads due to Ford's legendary planned-obsolecene engineering. Toyota is always the answer.
The fed's have started an investigation into catastrophic engine failure in the 2.7L ecoboost. In my opinion the internal water pump design of the ecoboosts is a total failure for the engine line.
Catastrophic engine failures on Bronco NHTSA saying possibly 80% of last year’s Bronco’s could be affected. To me Bronco way too much electronics.Bronco and Jeep much better off-road but there are only so many people that are going to push them to the limit. You want to dent and scratch your expensive vehicle? Most people don’t have that disposable income. Can’t speak for Bronco but Jeeps unless they are extensively modified break pretty easily in extreme terrain. Most smart people go off-roading with other people in case they get stuck or break something. I wish Toyota would do one thing and that’s front locker option. Unless you are doing extreme rock crawling Toyota is very capable. I have done extensive 4wheeling ,watched a lot of reviews, tons off actual off-roading videos and decided old school 4Runner is going to cover most of my adventures no problem. Just finally got my new 4Runner trd pro just in case Toyota gets rid of the 6 cylinder motor. Yes it could use more power and tranny could use more gears, but I know in its current form it will be reliable for years and years. I will stick to Toyota reliability.
