good content and important to remember there is plenty of room in this space for all kinds of ideas, innovations and startups plus we are going to be dealing with massive data explosion in medical/pharma space - that will be a management challenge but also fuel even more innovation and more data on top - so much data in fact that ai is going to be key tool in managing practices, dx/tx modalities and finding the most effective therapies that are on the edge and not within the traditional scope I think health profesionals will want a couple giant nas devices to start out with which will agg all the data and keep it inhouse but then also have api to cloud and p2p nets of other practices and keep things on a blockchain that grows and grows. i can see a starting point of 500tb for inhouse data - 100 tb of their own data, 200 tb of collective data, 100 tb of buffer data that will probably grow at rate of 1tb a day or something like that, every 2-4 years they will upgrade and double capacity and compute

Future thinking...that will be a normalized visit in the near future and possible benefit in rural and isolated areas

For the MRI scan cost in US, you can fly to india, get treatment for any ailment, have a vacation and come back. Still, you'd be left with few thousand dollars left. Maybe there should be startup that works with insurance companies to facilitate healthcare tourism

Precisely. I use Forward while in the US for my basic needs and have international insurance in case of emergencies. If my physician ever recommends X, Y, or Z, I can take a quick trip to Colombia or Mexico and get it taken care of if the cost is too steep in the States.

@@chan90s I use Genki but have also heard good things about Safetywing. There are a number of quality options out there. However, out of pocket is so inexpensive that unless you need insurance for a visa or something, it usually isn't necessary. Depending on the country, of course.

Mental health is integrated, but people with a substance use disorder are likely not in their target market.

There might be concerns about the quality of the blood sample obtained and subsequently the value of the sample for analysis like a standard CBC with differential (testing for different red/white blood cells)
