You don't have to register as a candidate before applying. You'd need a mentor if you apply first as a candidate then as a Professional. It makes it easier, and is cheaper - but you can complete your prior learning, experience and report and apply as professional having not registered as a candidate first.

Hi Eugene.You are a candidate before a professional. You don't necessarily have to register as a candidate first, however this does make it easier (and cheaper) when you then want to register as professional.. Hope this helps..

@@zanelenkomo Can we transfer from Architecture Technologist to Engineering with accreditations from 3 years of BAS Architecture Structural Theory? They provide options like Bachelor of Science Honors in Materials. I want to enter the industrial sector without starting over again and doing a Mechanical Engineering degree.

They cant. You need an eng degree to qualify

Zanele Nkomo on The ecsa website it says to do that you need to have a MEng/Msc but that is for he people who have their PGdip in addition to their BTech

@@pokeman316 not Msc, it is actually MEng(Proffesional) it is not any MEng at any university
