Exactly. It sounds like a supercharged Marshall. The clean channels gain is pure AC/DC, the clean tone is great, then there’s the massive gain section. This amp is a steal. Just ordered mine from Engl. The win win is the attenuation on the back. This amp is the holy grail I’ve been looking for. It’s tight and cutting like a razor. Hold your head in shame Marshall and mesa boogie. And Thomann have got this on a special for 519 gdp for their 70th anniversary, WOW! Mines in the post to me.
Clean tone on this end was lacking Lowend on the first play around ...then it sounded nice the second play around ....but sounded THIN ...more muddy than lowend...Now its name is Metal MASTER ...so it BETTER have a GREAT high gain tone!!!...and with the mid scoop ...IF you dial in a good mix once engaged ...then it seems it would shine !!! So.....this 20 watt ....or the Tremonti 15 watt PRS?????
..this one. trust me. That tremonti is known for having QC issues and noise issues. Great amp nonetheless, but between these 2, definitely this one unless you are looking for that 6L6 headroom and so on.
Yes please play blues...it's not like you hear that shit constantly everytime you walk into ANY guitar store. I think I will demand someone play metal during a Fender tweed review 🤦
The amp is called "metal master". If you want a blues amp this probably isn't what you're looking for. Check out amps like the Fender blues junior, Fender Deluxe etc ..for blues.
