Frikadeller is basically small pan fried meat loaves, half and half pork and veal with chopped onions and a special spice mix.

øllebrød slander is unironically unacceptable, øllebrød when you're sick is one of the best meals. It's got hot water, it's got some starch to make you full, you can even drizzle whatever you've got on it.

As a Canadian who lived in Copenhagen, Denmark for 6 years, I can confidently say that pastry, holiday food, and Fransk Hotdogs with mayo, and some other foods I don’t remember the name of is just about all that I really liked there. Of course, black liquorice is fucking everywhere. Other than that, Denmark and Scandinavia is fantastic. Go visit if you can or if it’s near you.
