Staying on the ball and getting players together their heads up is what it’s all about

Fantastic and interesting video. Thanks guys. It seems to me children are starting to play football and sport at ever younger ages. If we as coaches are to equip our young Children (players) with the staying on the ball skills concept (which i whole heartedly support and agree Pete) we must (as well as the 1v1, 2v2,3v3 to the SSGs ) find interesting and enjoyable ways to teach individual technique in the early ages (ie how to control the ball, turn, dribble, run, strike, pass, protect it and how to trick, cheat or disguise from the opponent) inorder to give our young children the" tools" to play the game. Increasingly, I am doing this in small chunks and lockdown has enabled me to help children practice and appreciate this in small spaces. Interesting those that engage are those that seem to prosper in the small sided game and matches Kind Regards Neil.
