And then the bloke at the end - is he still shouting "Fuck Off" 24 hours later as I type this. Kind of understandable though when you've probably spent a fortune on tickets, transport and hotels to watch people who earn seven or eight times in a week what you earn in a year go down without a fight. Although I'm English, for the last ten minutes I was praying we didn't somehow fluke an equaliser, because that would have been a travesty. Well done, Iceland, you deserved it and your fans, especially the battle cry, will be the abiding memory of this tournament.

Icelandic fans are so supportive, just look at their chanting and celebrations during they game. Anyways, I'm proud to be Icelandic and proud of my team of Icelandic Vikings.

I stopped getting excited about England at tournaments a long, long time ago. But this year felt different, we actually had a lot of talent to choose from. The Woy chose not to take any wingers except an out-of-form sterling, then my hopes began to fade. After the Russia game I knew we were in trouble, but I never thought it could sink this low. I think sports psychologists will study this for generations to come to teach teams how not to self-destruct. They deserve every bit of abuse and a whole lot more. Truly shameful.
