"I was crying. There was only one person that I wanted to share that moment with. And I knew I couldn’t." England’s star Fran Kirby lost her mom without warning, at the age of 14. She tried to toughen up and be ok. But the grief caught up with her.

I cried for Fran the second I seen her Cry, as I lost my Dad, and never got to say good bye, But too loose your Mum that's devastating..😥😥🤗😥

Its nice to see such touching and uplifting stories. We sometimes forget footballers are humans too and can face mental health. Similar situation happened to Adriano and he never recovered from his fathers loss. Cudos to Fran Kirby

Fran, you are very special. I am from Kirbymoorside,, North Yorks, my mother's home town. She died when I was almost five.I spent a couple of years with my foster family before being forced to leave to join my step father. That was the beginning of a horrible childhood which messed up my life. I am nearly 80 and have been looking for her my whole life. I cry a lot, especially with stories like yours. You make me happy too. Chelsea is my team. Much love.xxxx

To all of you out there who still have your mum, cherish every moment. My mum died when I was 4000 miles away and couldn't get home, and I miss her every day.

Was wondering who she was. Saw her on a sky sports news montage and I was shocked by her good looks 😮 every other female footballer makes your eyes hurt. No wonder half of them go gay. Men will run.

Fran, I have a huge empathy for you and admire your courage enormously. I lost my mum, who had been a single mum and was let go from the WAAF because she was pregnant with me, in 1942. In those days you were seen as a 'fallen' woman by society. Worst of all by her Yorkshire family. I was extremely fortunate to be taken in by my baby sitter's family for a couple of years, living a classic Yorkie boy's life until , due to one uncle's wife complained about my grandfather giving me too much attention and it was decided that my mother's husband should take me and life from there on in became pure hell. Life has been a constant struggle without her support and, now 80, I still miss her terribly and look at her photo. Bring her with you as you succeed so incredibly and know that it is because of her that youhave achieved so much. And be proud of yourself. Much love, James.

Man! i just cant believe how time passes, i felt in love with the lionesses during canada world cup! every single one of them. they're just amazing the amount of respect i have for Fran shes just incredible. What a person! hope she is doing amazing today and always.
