Nice one guys! I'm fully expecting you to smash that med mooring. In a little while, you'll be motoring up to the pontoon, one of you, on the bow, will drop the anchor then check the anchor chain when there's enough chain paid out. The boat will swing 180, the person on the stern will shout for more chain then, just at the right moment, shout for the chain to be checked. The boat will gently drift up to the pontoon, the person on the stern will step ashore with 2 mooring lines, graciously declining offers of help. Everyone will be very impressed with these young people and their boat handling skills! I look forward to seeing that video. Wishing you all the best for 2022. Much love from the Forest of Dean.

Aw thanks Andy! We would be looking forward to the day that happens too haha. We have now (somewhat successfully) done our first Med mooring, and though it wasn't quite as bad as we thought - it also wasn't exactly smooth 😅 Comes with time like everything I suppose! Aww thank you haha. Yes that's the thing we love, the sea offers such a special kind of freedom - it doesn't matter what boat you have when you're anchored all with the same beautiful views. It's so cool 😁 And yes we agree, it definitely feels luxurious to us too!

Great guys. Mediteranean is full of challenges when it comes to weather. Like watching others sailing a 28 foot. I sail a Great Dane 28.

Don't stress the med mooring. As there are 2 of you you will find that if you have to drop the anchor and reverse in you will find the anchor will keep you straight... and use your prop walk to help you!!! If there is no anchoring to do but rather taking slime lines from the dock just take it easy, slow is pro, and use fenders...cause that is what they are there for!!! Happy New Year!

Wildings if they can get their engine fixed are thinking of heading to Greece next year. .. And the Barefoot Doctors will be in the Med to pick up their new cat. and to tour .

@@ChasingCurrents Metaphorically I hope .. by linking channels you increase traffic and the pool of knowledge and experience on offer to those people the watchers as well as the active followers. It breaks down bunker mentalities ... you soon find out the human beings from the Trolls and bots .. and the algorithms start working for you rather than pigeon holing and being a pain in the .... by pretending they know what you want.... Like the doors... with a certain free traveling 🤖 robot with a very large brain. Meantime im still trying to get my back moving normally.

@@ChasingCurrents yeah it's very temperamental in the winter. Mallorca, menorca and ibiza are really decent sailing grounds. Much better than mainland Spain. Tons of free sheltered anchorages

You can anchor in so many places :) It's best to check apps like Navily, No foreignland, and Navionics to check anchorages are suitable (to check the holding, depth, accessibility, any restrictions). Hope this helps 👍
