I was there too. In the section of the crowd at 12:12 where Dennis Lillee was fielding. The Queen was presented to the players after the lunch interval - I have got a couple of photos that I took of the teams lined up. Thanks for posting this.
I remember seeing some graffiti on a wall in London in '81 which read : "Thatcher Out", to which had been added: "LBW bowled Alderman". This neatly sums up two major preoccupations of that '81 English summer. Thatcher's economic monetary policy was laying waste to UK industry even as Terry Alderman did the same to England's batting!
